It is the authentic 4*4. Few SUV’s can venture as far off road, into the backcountry as this Discovery can go. Its suspension articulation and permanent four-wheel-drive system must be experienced in extreme conditions to truly be appreciated. I love its trademark alpine windows and utilitarian styling, there is no mistaking the Land Rover Discovery for something else. The Series II starting in 1999 was completely redesigned, over 85 present of its part were new. It is also 4 inches wider and 6 inches longer in length than the previous Discovery. The exterior of this Discovery is in good shape, there is a missing right turn signal marker and missing left bottom fog lamp. Interior is as distinctive as its exterior. And is in good condition although it shows some wear and tear and expected from a vehicle from that model year. I was impressed with the stowage abound with bins and pockets everywhere. There is a 12-volt accessory socket in the cargo area. The 3rd row seat feature a cleverly designed head restraints that pop down from the ceiling.Driving impression. I used this Land Rover as my personal demo for a few days before we offered it for sale, as I always admired the Land Rover brand especially the Discovery and Defender models. Although I didn’t test the exceptional and well known 4*4 ability, I did drive it in the highway and city, day to day rides. I found it to be a comfortable ride, I like the idea that it looks different from everything else on the road. The ride is stable and surprisingly quiet. The steering wheel is well balanced, vehicle doesn’t pull to either side of the road. A/C blows super cold, and I enjoy the Alpine after market sound system installed in this vehicle.
