I bought 4 new tires last fall to get ready for winter and I was told by the tire shop that it needs a new tie rod and I should not drive it until it is replaced. I continued to drive it, without any problems, until December when I was going to have to pay to renew the license plate. I decided instead to not renew the plate and just get by with one car to avoid the expense of replacing the tie rod and radiator, and plate renewal and insurance. It was still being driven every day until the day the license plate expired, but that was nearly six months ago. It has been parked outside for six months and the rust has really started to show. Someone came to look at it before bidding and it wouldn't start (or even unlock the doors by remote) until he cleaned corrosion off the battery and it fired right up. Someone else pressed the parking brake and the cable had rusted through. I pulled the cable out of the sleeve so the pedal stays up, but it does not operate the parking brake. There is a puddle of water in the driveway after returning from long road trips and I have had to add coolant to the reservoir periodically. It has never overheated. The driver's seat leather is severely worn on the edge by the door but it does not affect the seat's comfort, only how it looks. I have a friend with this same model and hers is doing the same thing so I suspect it is a design flaw. The navigation DVD was thrown away a few years ago because it was severely scratched and wouldn't load maps. I borrowed my friend's navigation DVD to prove the navigation system still works, but you will need to buy a replacement DVD if you want to use the navigation. The navigation disc slot can also be used to play CDs through the car's stereo. The tires have fewer than 5000 miles on them. The windshield was replaced 2 years ago and is still in new condition. I don't see any flaws in any of the other mirrors or glass, including the sunroof. The battery was replaced in winter of 2013, I think. The 6 disc DVD/CD changer is great for long trips. The controls are built into the console for the driver to operate, but also has a remote for when the kids got old enough to operate it on their own. No one has ever smoked in it. It has never had pets in it. It has grey leather seats for seating 7 passengers. All of the rear seats fold into the floor and I used it once to carry a full sheet of plywood. The paint color is a unique dark rust/orange - I think I remember the color name is Sunburst Bronze. I have never seen another one this color on the road. It has been a very good car with lots of premium features but I no longer want the cost of maintaining/repairing it. A reminder: A tire shop told me it can be dangerous to drive with a bad tie rod, so I prefer you haul it away for repair instead of driving it home.
