Vehicle Detail
You are looking at a rare “all original” 1970 Fastback Mustang Mach1. This 1970 Mach 1 is truly a masterpiece and appreciated by many car enthusiasts worldwide, the distinctive body lines and beautiful white interior makes this very desirable. I have a set of the original service manuals with this car and all sorts of extra parts that belong to the car. Please note, this is full matching numbers Mustang, all original panels, hood, and all factory components down to the wheel rims. I am the second owner of this Mustang. NOTE: This Mustang is being sold at auction, the highest bidder in the 20K+ range will own this beautiful mustang! The engine is a 351 Cleveland. When I purchased it, it had stock 2 V heads. I altered the heads to 4V for much better breathing, added a high rise manifold and a Holly 750 to provide fuel for the larger intake heads. I had the engine removed to restore the engine compartment, replaced engine mounts and any worn cabling and rubber tubing, and then had the engine and compartment re-painted. For exhaust, I added headers, and flow master mufflers which give the car the sound it deserves. The modifications have taken the original engine from the standard 290 horsepower to over 400+ horses, and believe me this mustang has taken on a new character -- it sounds equally determined with the added horsepower. I kept all the original exhaust manifolds, heads and carburetor, stock filter canister, in case a serious collector would want to put the engine back to original specs. My modifications have taken the pleasure driving meter to another level, this car will chirp the rubber on the tires on every gear during heavy acceleration – this is what you want -- if you ever purchase a mustang with a stock 351 Cleveland engine you will be sorely disappointed with the power. I also have a set of original Ford Mustang repair manuals which came with the vehicle. Now let’s discuss the overall condition of this vehicle, as you can see from the pictures, it is nearly perfect, the vehicle did not require any restoration. The body is excellent, it is a rust free car with excellent floor pans and frame rails. The body is very straight. The paint has a beautiful finish as you can see in the pictures, this vehicle was re-painted in the 90’s by a professional paint shop. Fully restored cars, in my humble opinion, take away originality as there is a high probability new fenders, quarter panels, hoods and other components were switched out due to rust. This car is 100% original. I left enough patina in the interior and exterior so it actually looks like a muscle car from the era and not some toy you pull out of a toy box This is a one-time deal, you will not see many vehicles posted in this condition and originality. I tend to see Mustangs on e-bay auctions by re-sellers who restore previously abused mustangs, and reconstruct them with the third party stamped fenders and components and fresh paint for quick sale at a high dollar. This vehicle is as close to factory as you can get and it has a history of one longtime owner. Please send me inquiries but do not make any unreasonable offers on the vehicle. I have attached the Marti Report in the images in the link below.
