2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Special Edition RUNS PERFECTLY, LOOKS AWESOME, ZERO ISSUES The 2004 Grand Cherokee Special Edition is essentially a package added to the Laredo. It features the monochromatic exterior design cues of the Limited model, plus fog lamps and an AM/FM - CD audio system with Infinity speakers. This is an excellent first car, an excellent car for tall people, an excellent car for long-distance travel, and excellent car for making tight turns in the city, and an excellent car for hauling shopping, kids, and purchases around the suburbs. It has room and power -- The inline 6 cylinder engine feels like an 8. This Jeep has been treated and maintained very well. It has never had a pet or a smoker in it while I've had It, and it has never been in an accident. It has never been exposed to a northern winter. It's miles are almost all highway miles -- I have used it mostly for long trips on the interstate, not city driving. The vehicle comes with a detailed maintenance log, including receipts and warranties (for things like the pistons and other parts). You won't know this much about the history of a car you've purchased from any dealer. It comes with a full-sized, unused spare. The air conditioning blows nice and cold, and the stereo system works perfectly. Besides doing regular maintenance and replacing spark plugs, belts (including the serpentine belt), and wiper blades regularly, a number of components have been upgraded with new parts, including: the fan, thermostat, water pump, radiator, starter, air conditioning compressor, hitch, right tail light assembly, rear hatch pistons, and rear window pistons. (The pistons and rear wiper were just replaced the other day, since the photos were taken.) Each of the front seats has a tear in the leather on the bottom. The rips were there when I purchased the car four years ago and haven't grown much. The back bumper has hit something (some paint is missing there), the windshield has had a small crack repaired, and the clearcoat is beginning to peel (not noticeable with the silver color). I am including with this car a code-reader (very handy!), as well as some accessories useful in doing basic repairs, checking, and cleaning. Shipping instructions: I may be able to deliver the car around Charlotte and the Triangle Area (I regularly go to Chatham County). I will also be around the Washington, DC area during most of May and may be able to deliver it there. We can talk and see what works.
