Vehicle Detail

For sale is a 2000, Honda S2000coverible roadster. Honda manufactured these cars beginning in 1999 and stopped production in 2009. The S2000 name is based on the 2.0L engine in tradition of the 60's era roadsters. This is the original AP1 model with the front engine, 4 cylinder DOHC-VTEC engine, 237 hp, 1997 cc. independent wishbone suspension, 50/50 front to rear weight distribution. 16" wheels, plastic rear widow in the convertible top. Original silver paint, black leather interior, no tears. Convertible top in great shape, with no tears or flaws. This vehicle has a six speed manual transmission (3rd gear goes forever). The car is rated to do 155 mph and the engine red lines at 9000 rpm. I can not personally verify either. I do know it is pure pleasure to drive. The car has been babied its entire life. I am the second owner. Car originally was in Pennsylvania and now in Colorado. I had it for approximately seven years. The car has been garaged and only used in perfect weather. It replaced motorcycle riding on those perfect days. If the top could not be down it stayed in the garage. This seventeen year old beauty has 23782 actual miles on it. I rarely put a thousand miles a season on the car. The car is all original except for new Michelin Pilot AS radial tires that I put on and only have 3200 miles on them. I also put in a new Interstate battery exactly three years ago. Everything on the car functions except a door lock actuator on the passenger door. The electronic door lock function works with the key fob fine but it does not unlock the door. The drivers side works fine. The part is approx. $25.00 but the door panel has to come off and I have never done the fix. Its so easy to reach over and unlock the door. I have all the original paperwork on the vehicle including the window sticker. I have two key fobs and three keys. The condition of the vehicle is superb. The bottom of the front grill has scratching from the low height, and there is expected light surface scratching and normal wear to the original interior carpet, leather interior and floor mats. I have pointed out the two "dings" that the eye can see. Both are on the passenger side door and front fender. I have serviced the vehicle regularly and even though the car was not driven much each year the oil was changed annually. I have also replaced brake fluid and coolant within the last 700 miles. I am selling due to retirement. This time of life involves travel in a vehicle that has room for more luggage than just the golf clubs. I will certainly missed the wonderful weekend rides in the mountains with the top down. Bank wire or certified check payment required. Buyer is responsible for all shipping arrangements or picking up of the vehicle.
