Vehicle Detail
This is a 2002 Jeep Wangler Sahara 4.0L 6 cylinder with 79,600 miles. There was a slight mileage discrepancy when I purchased it. See the last 4 photos for the carfax report so you can draw your own conclusions. Nice color combination with burgundy exterior and tan/green interior. I bought this last year and it has been fun to drive. When I bought it, I noticed it would run slightly hot while idling. So, it has a new fan clutch, new water pump, thermostat and new radiator. Also, the AC was barely cold. So, I replaced the AC compressor with a new model (not rebuilt) and had the system recharged and now it blows ice cold. The transmission was sticking in 2nd gear so I had a warranty and ended up having the transmission rebuilt. While the tranny was out, the clutch and throw out bearing was also replaced with Luk components (top of the line). It now shifts beautifully. This also has off-road sized tires 30 x 9.5/15, which were installed by the dealer when it was sold new so they are calibrated. Also, I recently replaced both front and rear brake lines and had the brake system flushed out. The previous owner had support bars welded to the frame so it's solid. However, the rear part of the frame past the support bars should be repaired at some point. New front brakes and rotors were also placed a few months ago. Finally, it had a budget lift kit (spring bushings only) and felt quite wobbly on the highway. So, I removed the lift kit bushings (major PITA) and placed new Energy Suspension polyurethane spring isolators. It still didn't feel quite right so this past weekend I installed 4 new KYB Excel-G gas shocks all around (another major PITA). I also replaced the steering stabilizer. It now rides well even at high speeds. Probably could use an alignment though. In retrospect, the original lift kit must have been spring bushings and shocks. I almost don't want to sell it now but I just purchased a newer Jeep so I have to sell this one. These I6 engines are indestructible. Had to relist several times due to non-paying bidders. Don't place a bid if you don't have the funds or aren't serious. Every time I relist I have to pay a $50 insertion fee so be considerate please. Ask questions before bidding. Any deposits made are non-refundable. It is the buyer's responsibility to arrange shipping. This Jeep can be driven anywhere. If you are flying into Houston, we can meet you at the airport.
