Vehicle Detail
On auction is my 1978 Honda CB750F Supersport. This is a turn key bike which needs nothing but a new home. Everything works as it should and it really is a pleasure to ride. Please see below for some of the work that was performed since I bought the bike. I've put ~4000 trouble free miles on it since it went back on the road in 2014. If you have any questions I'd be happy to answer them. Thanks for looking! Engine: Cylinders rebored for 836cc Wiseco piston set. Cylinder head rebuilt with Cyclex's F2 Head Super Rebuild Kit (new valve guides, valves, springs, seals, retainers, etc.) This eliminates the premature wear issues that these engines originally suffered from. New camshaft. New primary drive chains, cam chain, tensioner and guides, oil seals and clutch plates. Carburetors completely overhauled and rebuilt using OEM service kits. Brakes: Both front and rear master cylinders rebuilt with new seals. Both front and rear calipers rebuilt with new seals, pistons and pads. All brake lines replaced with new hoses. Suspension: Front forks rebuilt with OEM seals and dust boots. Rear shock absorbers replaced with Progressive Suspensions 12 series shocks. Steering head bearings replaced with taper roller bearings. Misc: New Dyna ignition coils, wires and NGK plug caps. New chain and sprockets (DID 530 chain, JT Sprockets). The paint on the tank is factory original and in good condition. There is one very small dent, please see photo. There is no rust inside the tank. The side panels and tail section were painted as they were faded. All of the chrome is in great condition. There are a few pictures taken during the restoration work here: http://s1320.photobucket.com/user/mike_scot/library/CB750F%20Super%20Sport In the interest of full disclosure. As mentioned there is a small dent in the tank, there is also a small dent on the top of the rev counter which can be seen in the photo. The top ends of these engines are notoriously difficult to seal and there is a small oil leak from the cylinder head area (I change the oil every 1000 miles and never have to top up between changes). Lastly, there are a few nicks on the seat cover in the passenger area. I have a clear and transferable Idaho title in hand. The buyer must pay any shipping costs and arrange pickup. If required I can store the bike securely until you can arrange pickup. A Paypal deposit of $500.00 is required within 48 hours of auction close. The balance is due within 7 days.
