History! ...maybe. This car is NOT an old 21 car - this car was repainted to look like this for NASCAR Cafe, in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina (it used to hang over the bar - see picture). The car WAS an old race car, and has a great chassis under it (Banjo Matthews?). But the car was modified to work as a display, so there is no drivetrain, no diff in the rear, no gas tank, no pedals, no original floor. It was sort of "sealed up" on the bottom with a floorpan from something else. I have heard all sorts of possible history on the car - even that this car was the last car Janet Guthrie drove in a speedway race (Pocono) - but I have exactly NO paperwork to prove anything. The only thing that MAY indicate something about the car's past is the "47" visible under the red paint on the tail panel (see picture). I included a couple of pictures of similar cars on the track - for inspiration? This is a cool old speedway car - I don't think they came any bigger, that's for sure! I can help with delivery.
