If you need a four door car, it’s better to drive one with outstanding handling, more power than necessary and incredible, sexy lines! More importantly though, this car has been owned since 2003 by a Jaguar enthusiast and has been meticulously maintained. Records are available for your review. Secondly, this XJR has had its 100K-mile service performed. You may find one with fewer miles, but if this important service hasn’t been done, you’ll spend a great deal more on it. The service includes: - - New Bosch Iridium spark plugs (good for another 100K miles) - New Cam Cover gaskets and O-ring seals - New serpentine belts - Transmission serviced with new filter, pan gasket, O-ring seal and $300 of transmission fluid - Upper timing chain tensioners replaced with bullet-proof, 3rd gen aluminum models - Supercharger oil change. Though not required, we put new bearings in at the same time - Supercharger duct seals & plate replaced with the improved 2nd gen design. Other services have also been performed that make this the one to own: - Throttle Body rebuilt by Automotive Scientific Oct 2013. Lifetime warranty - Anti-Lock Brake control module rebuilt & updated by Automotive Scientific, Jan 2014 - New fuel pumps and fuel level sending unit installed July 2012 by Bluff City Jaguar - Heater flow restrictor replaced Oct 2016 - Recent tire change, with 2-5K miles on four Micheline Pilot Sport tires - Battery replaced April 2014, 5-year warranty - New Water Pump installed Oct 2015 - Driver’s inside door handle assembly replaced May 2016. This is the one that gets all the wear - Front shock mount bushings upgraded to urethane April 2014 - Brake Calipers painted (blue) when the original cad plating began to rust - Windows tinted (within TN regulations) - Headliner replaced January 2010 - CD changer serviced May 2014 Shortly after buying the car we added a lower mesh grill to match the upper ones used exclusively on the XJR. We have the original plastic piece if you like that look. In 2014 we sent the worn front seat covers to a company that already reproduced new leather seating for the XKR and had them use our seats as patterns for new upholstery. Exact replacements were created in the correct pattern, color and materials. The interior looks fresh and new with these in place. Also include is the optional rear sunshades, a $350 item that is dealer ordered. We have the original sales brochure where these are described. Everything on this car works and feels like new. It’s a correct example of one of the most recognized and beautiful pieces of rolling art ever designed by Jaguar. Its fast and pretty, a timeless classic. While I cannot send the entire inch thick folder, I have scanned several into a file I can email if you would like. In the 15 years I've owned this XJR, I did much of the maintenance myself.
