Vehicle Detail

1970 Ford F250 Camper Special Ranger XLT 2WD Clean title in my name. California/Arizona truck until I drove it to Idaho a year ago. 7300 miles on it since drivetrain completion. Original mileage unknown. Over $40,000 invested. $28,000 in parts (receipts included) I have 100 photos of the truck, so let me know if there is something you want to see. Engine: 428FE A-code block from a 1968 Galaxy cop car Block was professionally machined and bored .060 over and deck milled .008 439 cubic inches, 11.5:1 compression ratio ARP hardware throughout Fully balanced New Eagle Crank New Eagle Rods New Probe pistons with Total Seal rings New Edelbrock Performer aluminum heads New Edelbrock Performer RPM dual plane intake manifold New Milodon gear drive timing set New fabricated aluminum valve covers New Lunati VooDoo cam New Lunati hydraulic flat tappet lifters New PRW shaft mount adjustable rockers New MSD Pro Billet distributor New MSD plug wires New FiTech fuel injection New Hedman thick flange headers with ceramic coating New No Limit Engineering aluminum fuel tank mounted under the bed New in tank fuel pump New Fragola fuel lines with black anodized aluminum AN fittings. New March serpentine pulley system (easily updated with A/C pump brackets) New Pro-Amp single wire alternator New Pro-Amp high torque starter New Griffin radiator with electric fans New Canton Racing high capacity oil pan New Melling high volume oil pump New motor mounts New water pump Drivetrain: Rebuilt C6 auto transmission with shift kit and HD clutches New Gear Vendors overdrive New Hughes deep aluminum pan New Hughes 2500 stall torque converter New custom fabricated one piece drive shaft New seals and bearings in the Dana 60 rear end New Tru-Trac limited slip differential New 4:10 gears with new shims, seals and Timken bearings Rebuilt brakes, massive camper special discs up front, drums at the rear New Hydroboost master cylinder New power steering/brake pump New Lokar transmission kick down cable and hardware New transmission mount Suspension: Autofab lift kit with extended radius arms and camber corrected beams New king pins New ball joints Rebuilt power steering box New shocks New Method 17x8.5 race wheels (custom drilled and center bored for this application) New BFG TA KO2 34x10.5” tires (less than 1K miles) Perfect alignment (will provide printout from the alignment shop) Body: 1969 front clip Shaved side markers and trim New LED headlights New Rigid Industries LED driving light flush mounted in the front bumper New tail light buckets and lenses New hood letters New hood hinges 1967 hood side emblems (no plastic on the 67’s) New bed side emblems New rear bumper New tail gate latch and hardware New door handles New lock cylinders New door striker pins New windshield and gasket New sliding back window and gasket New door seals New side window seals/felts Rhino Lining in the bed Working bed cargo light 2” receiver hitch behind hinged license plate Fuel filler is side mounted inside the bed so you can fill the tank with the tailgate closed and/or the bed fully loaded. Factory bed side tool box with functioning lock and key The only rust is the typical drivers side rear cab corner from water/fuel leaking in at the filler. Patch panels are readily available. The cab fuel filler hole on the cab needs patched. The hood came off another truck that had hood pins. The two holes need patched. The doors need the mirror holes filled or some stock style mirrors installed. Side window tint is pealing at edges. You can get new glass with laminated tint for a very reasonable price. Wing vent windows work as they should, but the rubber seals are showing their age. Interior: New black cloth bench seat New black carpet kit New steering wheel and horn button New turn signal switch components New billet aluminum dash panel New Isspro gauges (speed, fuel, oil pressure, coolant temp, voltage) New FiTech digital gauge panel on the steering column, easily removed. I just leave it in defrost mode because you still get warm air on your feet anyway. I was going to replace all this with an air conditioning kit eventually. Dash light dimmer works Interior dome/floor lights work Between the wing windows, kick panel vents and rear slider, you get excellent warm weather ventilation that is not loud or buffeting. New floor mounted high beam switch New floor mounted overdrive switch Rubber floor mats Summary: Every moving part on this truck has been replaced or rebuilt. All the heavy lifting has been done. The engine, drivetrain, steering, brakes and suspension are all rebuilt and upgraded. The fuel injection has crisp throttle response and maximizes fuel mileage. You get all the classic look and feel, but with some added modern functionality. Cruises down the highway with the overdrive. Fly in and drive it home. Have some fun!
