Up for sale is a 1968 pontiac firebird. Garage kept. Original owner was my husband who passed away in 2008. He had this car since 1968. The car was set up for competition drag racing in the 1970's. As I have very little knowledge of the specifics of this car, I am selling it as is, where is, no warranty implied. Car has not been started in at least 20 years. Engine is not original to car. I was told it is a 389 bored 60 over, but i cant say for sure. I would suggest looking at and inspecting before bidding. All glass is original to car with firebird emblem. Windshield has crack at bottom drivers side. Body is in very good condition. some surface rust in front under bumper. Car is not complete, as owner was working on engine before he passed away. Rear main cover is not connected, radiator and fan is also disconnected. Not sure what else. The interior is original to car and is in very good condition. there is a small rip in seam on drivers seat. Headliner is in good condition but has two small holes behind sun visors. There is also some added gauges on console.Odometer is reading 00's so I'm going to say it is not working. Windows roll up and down nicely but felt liner is starting to dry out. Original rug is in really nice shape but smells a little musty. Black vinyl top in great condition.Racing slicks on back are dry rotted and racing tires on front look ok but cant be sure. As i said earlier this engine was built by owner for competition drag racing in the 70's. I am asking for a $500.00 deposit via paypal. The balance to be paid by bank money order, certified bank check or personal check. Funds must clear bank before car is released. Title will be transferred at notary before car is moved. Taxes and transfer fees are the responsibility of buyer. Bill of sale must be signed by buyer also. I will not sign title over unless it is done at notary's office. Buyer is responsible for shipping and pickup.
