Vehicle Detail

You already know what an incredible car the Ford Shelby GT500 is, or you would not be here. What makes this one special, is its transferrable extended Ford warranty. This is the exact same warranty that has been on the car since I took dealer delivery at Allentown Ford, Allentown PA in 9/06. This EXTREMELY valuable feature still has 18 months and 25,000 miles to go! To put this in perspective: * A cd was stuck in the stereo. After paying $100 deductible, the Shaker 500 watt console was replaced.* I brought the car in complaining of a barely audible but distinct bearing squeal. Result: updated/current brand new clutch pack and throwout bearing, among other new parts. Cost: $100* Driver's side lumbar support failed. Result: called ahead and the new unit was waiting. Cost $100. * Air conditioner not cold enough? bring it in and get a new unit if it is not easily corrected.* Making a strange noise? Buy and drive with confidence knowing that if something is not perfect mechanically or if you later discover an issue, its typically covered. Every time I've brought my car in for service and corrected the above, it has resulted in EXTRA care, parts and labor all covered under the warranty. Upon sale, the new buyer's information will be put on record at Ford. I've already called to confirm there are no issues in transferring the warranty to the new owner, provided I sign a letter with the new buyer's contact information and confirm that ownership has transferred. Though not as "major' as the above feature, there's more. I'm the only owner this car has ever had. It was one of the earliest deliveries of the first production of the modern edition Shelby GT500. I was on a waiting list for nearly a year and paid 50% above sticker to become an exclusive owner of (what was expected to be) a short, one-time production. Ford had other plans...but the ownership history remains. The car has always been garaged and never driven in winters nor as a commuter car. It was for trips and weekends on nice, dry days. The minor blemishes are just that - minor. Some may be visible in photos however for the sake of clarity to make sure the description accurately reflects the car, I will list also as follows: *White tape on bumpers and nose of hood shows small scuffs from parking and road debris. The abrasions are minor and visible upon close up inspection.* Same as the white tape, the right rear bumper has several small marks (but not dents/tears/holes*left side rocker panel beneath door next to GT500 lettering has a small scratch and indentation from a parking garage lift*Right side rocker panel beneath door has a tiny indentation*small vanity strap between driver's side seat back and base unattached at the seat base (covered by warranty)*small plastic lever at the top of passenger rear seat back missing (covered by warranty)*all 4 wheels are not perfect however their small scrapes minor enough to be close to it. No cracks or chips. Just scrapes visible on close inspection and/or photos shown. Some additional details:*Tires are in very good to excellent condition, with lots of tread remaining.* clutch was replaced within the past year and is amazing!*power seat driver side only* bone stock, no modifications*snake headrests*Clean Carfax, no accidents just loads of speeding tickets! I never bought this car to just sit in a garage so I could brag to my friends. I bought it for what its for - to be driven. I've had exceptional driving experiences in this Shelby and will be very sad to see it go. But the airstream I just bought needs paying for, so it is up to the next owner to write the next chapters. Car is located in Lindenhurst, NY which is an hour from NYC on Long Island. Buyers are strongly encouraged to ask additional questions, request additional photos and/or inspect the car before bidding. That's so you can be 100% certain of what you are buying, because your bid is binding and there are no returns. The car is sold as is, where is, with the warranty described above. Shipping and international arrangements if necessary, are the responsibility of the buyer, though I shall make all effort to assist. Buyers with negative or under 10 feedback MUST contact me prior to bidding. If you do not, your bid may be removed without warning. Car is for sale locally and therefore the auction may end early. I recommend bidding early, not only in the final seconds. Because if a local offer exceeds the high bid, the auction will end early. On Mar-16-17 at 13:40:42 PDT, seller added the following information:Adding an additional photo showing the engine bay. The blizzard and icy aftermath prevents adding any shots of the underbody however I would mention there are no aftermarket parts and the extended Ford factory warranty also covers rust protection.
