I am selling my 1987 BMW K100RT. Clear MD title. This bike has only 47,715 miles on it. I have garage kept it since acquiring it in appx. 2010. Unfortunately I do not have time to ride anymore and am selling the bike along with a Large BMW jacket(new was over $500) which has a removable liner and riding pants which are not made by BMW but fit a 38 inch waist over jeans. I wear an XL and this jacket does fit me. Included with the bike,riding jacket(,riding pants will be the K bike maintenance / shop manual and the BMW tool set that came with the bike.. This book by Clymer helped me work on this bike over the last few years. This is a Fuel Injected bike and is not as susceptible to the ethanol fuel issues but I have kept non ethanol fuel in it for years as it is better overall for fuel systems. Some of the work I have done to the bike over the last few years:Dunlop tires are several years old and have about 80% or more tread on them. All Brake pads are relatively new.New fuel pump in the tank.New fuel pressure regulator.New fuel hoses in the tankNew fuel hoses outside the tank with stainless steel quick disconnects added. Lifesaver if you need to remove the tank. New seal on the bottom of the tank where the fuel level sender goes in. New vacuum caps and hoses on the fuel rail/throttle body. Gel type battery is about 2 years old but holds a charge just fine and has been on a battery tender.Hard case hinges and brand new. Condition: This bike is in very good condition for it's age and mileage. As I mentioned before. I have had the bike garaged since I have owned it. I have also had it covered in the garage and will include the light weight bike cover to go with the bike. The seat has a BMW patch sewed on over a chewed mouse hole. The seat is a Sargent "M" motorsport seat. There are a few spots on the other side of the seat where the mouse left a few chew spots. They were sewn as well and both the patch and stitches have held up fine for years. I will also include and additional used K bike RT seat for the new owner if they would like it. The hard cases are BMW and are lockable and removable. I have a key for the ignition as well as the cases and they are the original BMW folding keys. The Radio does work ( I have not tried the tape deck as I do not have any tapes) I also have the radio code if the battery is disconnected. This has been a wonderful bike and I have been the third owner from what I can tell. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me. The bike is being sold as-is.
