1964 ½ Mustang convertible. This Early production Ford Mustang Convertible (manufactured April 7, 1964) has the Rare “D” code, 289-4V, V8 Motor, 3 speed, power steering, Rally Wheels, dual exhaust, electric power top, stunning Prairie Bronze metallic paint (original color). I have had this car in storage in Southern California for 16 years. This is the 53rd Anniversary of the Ford Mustang; introduced to the Public by Ford Motor Co. at the New York World’s Fair, on April 17, 1964 and the rest is history. This 1964 ½ Mustang Convertible was Manufactured in Dearborn, Michigan and is “stock”, as it came from the Ford factory on April 7, 1964. Also, my Mustang convertible was recently on display for 30 days at a Southern California Ford Dealership as a fine example of one of the first production Mustang Convertibles (see photo).
