This is a late year model 1967 CL77 found in barn that I had intended to restore. I purchased it because I was impressed with what I could see of the frame, the cleanliness of the motor, and the wiring. Frame is virtually rust free for its age, and I had the thought of just buffing it out and making an original 305, but have to many project and I realized that I would not get to this one. Before I gave up, I started freeing up parts from the years in storage. The carbs came loose easily and now the slide and choke operate pretty smooth. The front brake cable took some coaxing, but that too freed right up. The motor fins all seem intact and there is not signs of corrosion on the casing, which was appealing to me. I did not get to the internal of the motor to free it up. Not sure if it is a gear issue, kick start issue, or a piston issue. I put oil into the cylinders, but that is as far as I got to freeing up the motor. I was planning on doing an overhaul anyway, so the stuck motor was not an issue to me. Bike is a good candidate for starting a restoration. I will let the photos describe its condition. I was planning on painting or buffing out all the black parts, and boxing up the chrome parts and sending them off to chrome, leaving me with a bunch of clean and shiny parts to start in on the fresh build.
