Vehicle Detail
Please read this most carefully. This is my sisters car. She can't find the title and we are NOT going to spend the 95 dollars to get a new one. This car will be sold without a title and WILL have a valid bill of sale from the vehicle owner. If someone wants a title we will be happy to get one at your expense, which is 95 dollars. This is a revision as for some reason the questions and answers are not listing in this listing and I'm answering the same question multiple times... so with that being said: The DMV in Effingham, IL has said it will take 2 to 3 weeks to get the title when a lost title is applied for. If a person is in a hurry to receive the title, the buyer can pay an additional 30 dollars and, if ordered before noon on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday, the title will arrive the next day. If it is after noon it will be two days later. The number for the DMV to confirm what I've stated is 217-342-9777. With that being said... the car has been sitting for more than a year. We did start it and drive it. The motor is very low miles for the year. It has the 2.5 V6 24 valve engine and a automatic transmission. The car has power windows; the electric windows all function fine; brakes work but were very low on fluid which I filled when we drove it. The power steering was low also and I filled it before driving. The oil was fine and the coolant was good too. The wipers work; all the lights function as they should. The carpet and seats are stained but not torn up. Glass is all good and the tires are 1/2 tread. It drove pretty well and the tranny shifted through all gears. Gauges all work; interior lights all work. The O/D light is flashing and the ford dealer said it may require a transmission service. Again, it shifted through all the gears and there is absolutely NO slipping. In fact, it will spin the tires in drive and in reverse. There is some rust on both sides in front of the back tires and the right front fender is bent up some. You are buying this vehicle "as is" and "where is". Contact me with any questions and if you're local please feel free to contact me for directions as you are welcome to come look at the car before you buy it. Once you buy it you own it.
