Vehicle Detail

Up for consideration is this 1969 Chevelle SS 396/402. I purchased this car from the original owners family. I have a clear Ohio title in my name. The car is overall very solid. It came red/red with a white vinyl top automatic on the column with a bench seat and AM radio. At some point way back the front fenders, hood and front seat were replaced. And the car was repainted. All of the SS badging is present inside and out except for the front fenders. It also has the kick down on the gas pedal ( pictured )There is a bracket welded to the frame and rear end on both sides, most likely was mounts for ladder bars. It does not have the original intake, carb or exhaust manifolds. Not sure if the transmission and rear end are original. The odometer says 47,431 miles ( Non-actual ). The protecto plate # is T0731JK. The block is stamped T073ICJK. The protecto plate also matches the vin number of course. The build sheet is pictured. It was under the rear seat. The car had been sitting in a garage since 1992 before I purchased it. I drained the gas and added a tune up. The car runs and drives but has some engine noise. Possibly a rod knock. I only ran the car long enough to make sure it would go into gear and stop. I drove it two doors down from my house to put it on my neighbors lift to take pictures. This car is a perfect candidate for an easy restoration or a summer driver. All of the lights and turn signals work other than the low beams. They come on with the high beams. This car is located in ZIP 44224. The buyer must arrange pick up and shipping. I have a bunch of pictures from all over the car. I will try to list them. If not, I can email them. Anyone is more than welcome to inspect the car as well. Just shoot me a text and set up a time (330) 322-7159. I also have pictures of the car from 1970 and 1972 I received from the family. Please ask any and all questions before bidding. I will answer the best I can. The car is being sold as is no warranty of any kind. A $500.00 paypal deposit is required within 24 hours and the balance is due within 7 days of the end of the auction. Check out the pictures and thanks for looking. On Feb-01-17 at 16:10:43 PST, seller added the following information: A few more details about the car. It does have power steering and power disk brakes. After doing more research about the car, I have found that it is very rare for a 69 to have the CJK engine. On chevellestuff.net/ engine id codes.htm. It state that to date, only one example has turned up with this engine in a 69. Again ask questions and I will answer the best I can. I also have several pictures I can send if needed. If you would like to look at the car, call and come out. It looks better in person than the pictures. Thanks again for looking. On Feb-01-17 at 16:27:00 PST, seller added the following information: The CJK engine code is for the 402 engine. I'm sure most of you Chevelle guys know that already. On Feb-03-17 at 17:33:30 PST, seller added the following information: More details: I located the plate on the side of the transmission. It says ( 550 CC - 69 - 28029 ) The protecto plate reads ( 69C550 ) for the transmission code. I believe the CC = 396 325 H.P. and the 550 somehow decodes the day it was built. The rear end is a 12 bolt. I raised the rear end and rotated the tire forward. Both tires rotated in the same direction by spinning only one. The driveshaft rotated three and almost one half times to one revolution of the tire. So the gear ratio is just under 3.5:1 The rear end code on the protecto plate reads ( CF0630B ) The CF = 3.31:1 ratio. So that sounds right. I could not find a number on the rear end. With the information above. The transmission and rear end very well could be original to the car. Thanks again for looking.
