1965 Ford Thunderbird Special Edition Landau Three years ago I purchased this 1965 T-Bird from a gentleman in Arizona. Has the matching numbers Thunderbird 390 V-8 engine with mileage reading 43,000. (Probably 143,000) I started with the restoration but need to sell. This car is a fantastic driver. The car is best viewed in person and I'm happy to show it to any serious potential buyer. Full Wheel Covers, Rear Fender Shields New for '65, Fully Lined Luggage Compartment Done on this Car: Running gear: Rebuilt 390ci. Rebuilt upgraded C-6 transmission out of a 1965 t-bird. New Edlebrock 600 cfm Carburetor, Edlebrock aluminum manifold , NEW : Belts, Fuel Pump, PS Pump, Spark Plugs , Points, Condenser, Rotor, Distributor Cap , Plug Wires, Coil, Windshield Washer Pump , Reservoir Bag and Alternator, rebuilt radiator. Rebuilt front end, new shocks, complete new brake system, front disc brakes with rotors, new rear brakes with drums new front wheel bearings, new stainless dual exhaust with magnaflow mufflers. New upper and lower ball joints, new tie-rod ends and recent front end alignment. New gas tank, fuel lines, sending unit. All this has no more than 300 miles on it since completed. Interior: Interior has a lot of chrome and stainless trim in great shape. New upholstery , New Headliner , New Floor Insulation and Carpet, New Dash Pad, New Wood Grain, Rebuilt Original Door Panels, all New Vacuum Lines under the dash, , Power window motors Rebuilt all work, New Retro Classic Radio with MP3 connection in ash tray , New Retro Center Speaker system and New Electric Antenna. , New Steering Column Bushings, New Sequential Turn Signal System. It has AC all complete inside but not in the engine compartment. Turn signals work, wipers work, horn works, gas gauge intermittent., Swing away steering, Electric driver seat system and Recliner type passenger seat. Looks great! Nothing left to do inside. Exterior: Two year old average Paint Job (has 3 scratches from looky loos at shows), New Vinyl Top, New Tires, All New Weather Seals/Rubber, New Windshield. No rust was found. The bumpers and trims look beautiful. Trunk: New fully lined luggage compartment with New insulation. Now if I was going to keep this car this is what I think should still be done: Install ac system in engine compartment (cost $ 725- 925) Replace Speedo cable, it sticks once in awhile but may work out after driving for some time; I did remove and lube the cable. I have new one to install.Touch up paint areas I have the paint still. $13,800 Cash OBO no trades.(illness forced to sell) Since this is a used vehicle and don’t know past history.
