Vehicle Detail

1964 Cadillac Fleetwood 60-Series: I am the second owner of this Cadillac. First owner had from 1964 - 2016 = have original paperwork! - SOLID car with exceptionally good paint job for a 1964!- Five (5) Brand New Black Wheels and Whitewall Tires (less than 25 miles) = $2,000- California Registered, runs/drives, new brakes, new radiator, tuned up, oil change, new battery and other misc. work = $2,000- Have been in the process of upgrading interior -- Pretty much everything you need to finish the job (heat/sound shielding, brand new RED Cadillac Fleetwood stamped carpet, new black headliner partially installed, brand new seat cushions, a ton of upholstery (Red & Black), newer model used Red Pull Handles for doors, Brand New Door and Window Seals, etc - Started in the rear of the car -- Stripped out carpet in trunk -- Stripped out headliner, removed everything from the back of the front seat to trunk -- Very minor surface rust that came right up with my electric hand sander - covered areas with black spray rust inhibitor to protect metal -- Minor rust pits on chrome that clean right up with some Aluminum Foil dipped in Coke (saw trick on You Tube) Car runs & drivesBlinkers and Lights workWindshield wipers just stopped working = possible electrical or fuse issue that might have been caused by me probing under the dash trying to figure out how that comes off When you start the car, I have noticed that recently I've had to rev the engine approx 1-minute to get a good solid idle. Not sure if that is because of cold weather or lack of driving. I have only been starting the car and driving around town every 2 or 3 weeks to keep the battery charged. Also appears to have a VERY SLOW oil leak around seals on oil pan that just started after last oil change. Mechanic recommend changing the seals during next oil change. REASON FOR SELLING:Went through a rockabilly phase. Basically thought it would be cool to have an old Cadillac and blast Johnny Cash out the window. Reality, I know next to nothing about car restoration and this takes more time and patience that I have. Taking a BIG LOSS trying to sell this car, but wife is tired of looking at it sitting in front of the house and she wants to me to buy another restored VW Bus like we use to have so we can take that down to the beach (Santa Cruz). Have some money saved, need another $6,000 to get the 1970s Model VW Bus restored and ready to go. Thanks for looking!
