Vehicle Detail
Relisting as buyer was not able to complete the transaction. Nicely restored 1973 MGB Roadster, Last of the "Chrome Bumper" cars. Chrome wire wheels with new chrome knockoffs. Complete new Connolly leather interior, new carpets, new Premium convertible top with new window, all new window welting. Almost all body chrome new. Absolutely no rust, Painted in 2015 Jaguar color "Fire Mist". Drive train believed to be original, except for carburetor (a single down draft, converted from the original dual SU), largely mechanically unrestored but many new parts (brake cylinders and lines, rebuilt radiator, tune up parts) runs well. Not sure about the mileage, but believe it is around 70k. Now for the story......I joined the Marines right out of high school in 1974. My high school buddy stayed behind. We had wrenched old beaters all through school. Every year when I would come home to visit, he had something in the garage he was working on, usually a Camaro, mustang,or a mopar. This 73 MGB was always in the back of the garage, ignored and gathering dust. Every year I would tease him and ask when he was gonna get to it. Finally after 35 years, he threw up his hands and said "you take the damn thing"! I spent way too much money on it, and need to make room for a helicopter, so its up for no reserve. I am also selling a 1928 Ford P/U, 1967 Cadillac Deville convertible, 1964 Morgan Plus 4, and a 1958 Corvette. email if you have interest. I am listing them one at a time.... You must arrange and pay your own shipping. You may inspect it by appointment, before the end of the auction! Your accepted bid is a binding contract to buy, where is, as is. Sellers Note: This car is rust free, beautifully restored body and interior, and sound mechanicals. Over $20,000 spent. The pics were taken in the spring when we have the pollen from the pine trees over everything (I live in the heart of the Jersey Pine Barrens). The paint is flawless.
