I am listing my car a second time, because of a nonpayer. Please only bid if you want it. Please, before bidding, contact me if you have a feedback rating of less than 10. I have a numbers matching, documented 1971 Chevelle Super Sport for sale. Needs a complete restoration. This is a complete car that runs and drives. I purchased this car a few years ago when I lived in Iowa. Has typical Midwest rust. Frame is still solid. Most of the body panels, wheel houses, floors and trunk need rust repair. The original 350 block is still in the car. As is the original transmission and 12 bolt posi rear end. The heads were swapped out in the early 70's for some older camel back heads along with a healthier camshaft. I have a folder full of work done on the car dating back to the 70's. I have the original build sheet showing it is a true Super Sport. I also have the original window sticker and Protecto Plate. It is titled in my name with a clear Iowa title. This car runs and drives. Sounds pretty good with Flowmaster dual exhaust. Gas tank leaks above half tank. Brakes work and it shifts smooth. Posi still works. Wheels and tires hold air, nothing fancy. This car has sat for most of the time I have owned it. A lifter or two will make noise upon start up after an extended period of time, but comes out of it. The original interior is complete, but needs some work as well. Tachometer works as do the other gauges. The clock does not. Rear fefroster option. Rear view mirror map light option. Trunk light option. Missing the radio. Lots of neat paper work comes with this car. In 1971, you need paper documents to prove a real Super Sport and this car comes with it! Plus the original engine!! I have too many cars and will never get to this one. Please ask any questions that you may have. I really like this car and its history and hope it goes to a good home.
