Vehicle Detail
No reserve auction. I welcome third party visual inspections prior to bidding/end of auction. I'll be happy to answer any questions. Please call landline 707 252-6449 and leave a message please if no answer. as I'm in and out of the house all day, text works fine on 707 363-0969, but cellular voice reception is not great here. Classic Mustang 'ragtop.' Engine oil always kept clean and clear. 351 Cleveland V-8 with an FMX Automatic Transmission. Orig "H" code (2V) but now a 4V Edelbrock carb and Ford 4V manifold. Sold new and always in Northern California.Vacaville and Napa, in that order. Engine and trans balanced & blueprinted, hardened valve seats etc. installed back in the day to handle unleaded fuel. Seat belt warning buzzer works as well. A/C blows cool with original R-12 system. Super solid specimen. Hood is not completely shut in pics, but does shut all the way. Runs cool and and always reliable. This Mustang has never been driven in the rain during my ownership. Relisted due to faux "buyer." Please bid only if you can observe and follow payment terms. $250 within 24 hours auction close, full payment in 3 days. Thanks The very hefty and beautifully installed trailer hitch was a dealer installed option. The air horns too. Nice and loud. These are two options that were (Ford) dealer installed that this car has in addition to the assembly plant installed items. Trailer hitch C6ZZ-19D520 C5ZZ-19700 Air horns On Nov-15-16 at 14:38:46 PST, seller added the following information: Nice driving car. Steering wheel is "straight" as one drives down the road as it should be. While braking, and taking my hands from wheel, the car stays aligned and rolling straight down the road. Does not pull to either side. It is a 43-44 year old car so it is considered an antique vehicle. Lots of parts available through many retailers and distributors, as many are aware. The convertible top was newer when I bought the Mustang around 2000. It is of two layer construction. The "inside" portion of the top when one looks up from the driver seat looks very nice. The outer convertible top is showing it's age, but it is still 100% functional and effective. The top does have a patch of black "gaffers tape" (super super strong black duct tape) that matches the black convertible top over the passenger rear window. At some point in the next year or two it may need a new top. Personally, I like a bit of a patina to vintage items. Cars too. The current top when installed was a very high quality top, and it does retain the "glass rear window" the original white convertible top that came with had. "Do it yourself" convertible top kits by Haartz are available for about $300 on eBay. The top IS a wear item, like tires, brakes pads/shoes, shocks, filters. Stating this fact simply for those who may possible be unaware. The body is very straight there are few, if any, dings and dents. New battery, tires, rims, lugs. Has original owners manual and plastic Ford slip-over clear plastic 'case' it came in. No jack. I can provide a 5 lug Ford style spare tire if desired. If desired, you may have the original 4 Ford wheels that came with the Mustang originally included. I also have the black Ford shop manuals and the original 'running horse' gas cap. I just want the new owner to be happy with my old Mustang. No curveballs" thrown for the buyer. That's very important to me. If you want to view the basic Marti report stats, email through eBay and I'll try to get those right to you. I was the sole driver of this car and drove it occasionally on pleasure drives, alone or with family. Thanks. On Nov-16-16 at 07:19:18 PST, seller added the following information: Very thankful for everyone's collective attention to my auction. I will not quiz anybody about their bidding history, or lack thereof. However, if you bid remember that following through with the sale is absolutely necessary. Listing on eBay is not free for me nor should it be. Just, if you bid just please be sure you have the resources to follow through with your purchase in a timely manner as described on the auction page regarding payments. If you have any questions about any part of the acquisition, payment, shipping or buying process in general, please message me. I've sold my personal cars from our small stable of vehicles on and off eBay for decades. Happy to show the car to anyone prior to purchase and/or answer any query one may have about the nice Mustang. Thanks so much.
