This 2008 Mini Cooper S "Pepper Ann" is in great mechanical and cosmetic condition. It has always been in California and has never been in an accident or abused. Many of the miles are freeway miles spent cruising between the Bay Area and San Luis Obispo for college I loved every minute in Pepper Ann and am selling only because we now need a larger car for our new dog. Overall: The R56 MINI chassis along with the turbocharged engine and 6-speed is incredibly fun to drive. The car feels equally at home in tight curves and cruising at 80mph on the freeway. I will truly miss this car! Pepper white is a fantastic exterior color, but combined with redwood red leather and 6-speed manual, this car is a truly rare configuration, and a catch for enthusiasts. It's also loaded with factory options (see list below). Interior: The redwood red extended leather leather is in very good condition with no major tears or scratches. There are some creases on the driver seat bolster and lower. The dash has no cracks and all instruments and lights function. The rear seat is in very good condition. The door panels and other hard surfaces are in excellent shape as well, with only minor scratches. The rear seats fold flat 50/50 for a surprising amount of cargo capacity. The hatch area is in very good condition with only minor wear to the seat backs. The original factory tools are still installed under the rear carpet. Electronics: All exterior and interior lights function. The stereo works flawlessly and features both an auxiliary headphone jack input as well as a USB input for audio and power. The stereo is surprisingly good - far better than the Harman Kardon unit we had in a BMW. The Bluetooth phone connection works great as well. Exterior: The exterior Pepper White paint is also in very good condition, with no major scratches or dents. The car is regularly washed and received a full detail (inside, outside and engine) in April, 2016. The black hood stripes are in 50% condition and could be replaced or removed. The black trim around the wheel arches is beginning to fade. The car has a clear bra installed over the front hood and bumper as well as areas around the rear hatch. Wheels and Tires: The wheels are in good condition with no dents or major curb rash. The tires are brand new with less than 1000 miles. Mechanicals and Engine: Pepper Ann has 125,xxx miles and runs perfectly. There are no check engine lights or other warning lights to worry about. We are enthusiast owners who always take care of an issue. Some people will say the clutch is a weak point in these cars. In my experience, this couldn't be further from the truth. Pepper Ann is still using her original, factory clutch, which operates perfectly and without any chatter. Shifts into all gears are smooth and silent. The clutch is in great shape and should have a ton of life remaining. The engine pulls strong across the entire rev range with no stumbling at low rpm or when starting cold. The engine consumes oil at the factory rate. Records and keys:The sale will include all service records from July 2009 (the date I purchased the car from the original owner) to the date of sale. The car has been impeccably maintained (I purchased the extended maintenance from MINI and a Mini specialty shop has done subsequent maintenance). Both factory keys/keyfobs are also included. Extra bonus: Less than 300 miles ago we serviced the oil and filter, main engine belt, replaced the windshield due to a rock chip, and installed 4 brand new tires.
