Vehicle Detail
1965 Ford Mustang Convertible. I will do my best to describe the cars pros and cons. 170 straight 6 cyl Engine matching numbers. Car runs but its a bit rough. I don't hear any knock or noise coming for the motor. A new 1 cyl carb was installed but never adjusted. New valve cover gaskets were installed. The steering is very loose. A new set of BF Goodrich tires with less than 100 miles on them. American racing 4 lug rims are a bit rusty. The body has surface rust and some bubbling around the fenders. Panels are otherwise in nice shape. Car needs a nice paint job. Inside the trunk is solid. Interior is pretty nice. Front seats are high back buckets and are in prefect condition. The rear seats are in nice shape and I have new professional vinyl covers (Never used) with hog rings that match the front seats. A new wood steering wheel is installed (the original steering wheel is included with the purchase). The carpet is very good with no rips. Sun visors were recently changed as well. The white convertible top is perfect with no rips including the rear window. The top does need a cleaning. The electric top works perfect going up and down. The dash pad has a few cracks. The ignition key switch needs mounting. All glass is in good shape with no cracks. The exhaust system has surface rust but is in good shape but might be a bit loose.. Brakes may need to be changed since the car has sat for a while. There are extras I am throwing in. This car has been in my family since the mid to late 1970's and was a daily driver. Its never been abused. Due to the fact that I do not have a garage and it needs a new loving home, I am selling this classic. This is an as is sale. A deposit of $500 is required after eBay win within 48 hours. Purchaser is responsible for pickup of vehicle. The car is located in Central New Jersey. This would make an great project or a great Xmas gift. Get it ready to roll for next summer. Please feel free to email me with any questions and I will do my best to answer. On Nov-14-16 at 10:30:10 PST, seller added the following information: Update: I have been asked to take photos of shock towers as well as the undercarriage. I did the best I can and posted the pictures in this update. The shock towers look perfect. There is dirt and surface rust but are 100% solid. The undercarriage on the drivers side has surface rust and dirt but looks solid. The passenger side is not as good. There are some rust holes and rust. I am not an expert, but I would think it could be repaired by someone who does this type of work. The trunk has no holes or rust. It is dirty but solid. Please feel free to ask questions and I will get back to you ASAP. I am trying to be as transparent as possible to make sure this family car finds a loving home. Please bid accordingly.
