Up for auction is a really beautiful vintage machine, 1980 Bmw R100 CS with only 36,850 Original miles. From the registration sticker on the plate I believe this bike has been off the road for about 20 years, so obviously it will need the usual work for somethin that sat to run but it was stored in a bone dry garage so its in really nice shape and definitely worth putting the time into. Please see all my pics, this bike is beautiful for what it is, has some marks here and there and pin striping is faded but this is as nice as you are going to get for something of this age that's been off the road. Has a clear nj title, both keys, manuals, and tool kit Vin Number-6171038Engine number-6171038 *Does not currently run*Clean clear title *Removed the plugs and sprayed oil in the motorHooked up power to it, all lights went on, blinkers workpressed the starter button and the engine turned over no problem. *Clutch pulls in easy and bike goes into gear*Bike rolls easily, Brake cable is stiff so is the throttle cable Shouldn't be too involved to get running, Clean the carbs, clean the inside of the tank, Go through the brakes, clean the calipers, Install New plugs, battery, carb rebuild kit, change the oil. tires are older but not dry rotted and hold air. A couple hundred bucks and an honest days work should do it. This is definitely not a major project.
