I started with a relatively low mile gas truck with factory paint. Gas trucks are the best trucks to use in a build because they are usually in much better condition since the diesel trucks were built to abuse and most of them were. I had a very low mile elderly owned farm truck that I got all the diesel stuff off of. The bed came off so we could clean and paint frame, back of cab and swap the gas tank for the diesel tank. We pulled the Dana 44 out to replace it with the Dana 60. As the pictures show we went through the the Dana 60 and even put on new locking hubs. There are pictures of the CUMMINS, 5 speed and transfer case before we installed it. There are pictures of it as it was before doing anything to it and you can see how clean it all was. We checked it from the bottom to the top. Replaced valve cover gaskets after checking it out up top. Replaced the water pump only because it sat without water in it for a few weeks. We pulled the all the weatherstripping, the windshield and back side windows when we painted the truck back solid factory green. I had possibly the best interior guy in Texas but certainly the most expensive guy anywhere completely restore the seats. There are many different levels of quality carpet made for these trucks and I've learned through experience that you get what you pay for. I put the best stuff anyone makes in it and you can see, feel and hear the difference. The only thing I have not done is the spray in bed liner. We put new brakes under the factory 2014 dodge aluminum wheels and pretty aggressive mud tires. All new weatherstripping. It is located at 1602 s. As nice as this truck and as much money as I continuously spent on it the truck is not perfect. As slick as the body is the paint job did not satisfy me but if I'm not the pickiest feller there is I would give him a run for his money. Texas resident must pay tax, title and license. I started with a relatively low mile gas truck with factory paint. Gas trucks are the best trucks to use in a build because they are usually in much better condition since the diesel trucks were built to abuse and most of them were. I had a very low mile elderly owned farm truck that I got all the diesel stuff off of. The bed came off so we could clean and paint frame, back of cab and swap the gas tank for the diesel tank. We pulled the Dana 44 out to replace it with the Dana 60. As the pictures show we went through the the Dana 60 and even put on new locking hubs. There are pictures of the CUMMINS, 5 speed and transfer case before we installed it. There are pictures of it as it was before doing anything to it and you can see how clean it all was. We checked it from the bottom to the top. Replaced valve cover gaskets after checking it out up top. Replaced the water pump only because it sat without water in it for a few weeks. We pulled the all the weatherstripping, the windshield and back side windows when we painted the truck back solid factory green. I had possibly the best interior guy in Texas but certainly the most expensive guy anywhere completely restore the seats. There are many different levels of quality carpet made for these trucks and I've learned through experience that you get what you pay for. I put the best stuff anyone makes in it and you can see, feel and hear the difference. The only thing I have not done is the spray in bed liner. We put new brakes under the factory 2014 dodge aluminum wheels and pretty aggressive mud tires. All new weatherstripping.
