2004 Subaru Forester XT for sale. The good: Solid car, low miles for age (127k) with lots of new parts and work recently done (have paperwork for all major repairs). Basic info:- Aftermarket Pioneer touchscreen AM/FM/CD/MP3/DVD stereo- Power windows/power locks/cruise control- Heated leather seats- Sunroof- Air conditioning (compressor just replaced and recharged 06/2016)- Replaced Turbo 4/15- New brakes/rotors (replaced 05/2016)- Timing belt changed at 99k (04/2013)- Radiator replaced (04/2013)- Synthetic oil (every 5-6K miles)Exterior: Java Black, with a few bumps and scratches, not perfect by any means. Tires have a lot of life leftThe Bad: The solid "Check Engine" light, flashing "Cruise" is on. Car was diagnosed by Bill at Broken Motorsports. Drives great but will need to have catalytic converter replaced to get light off and pass emissions test. As a result, the car emits a white smoke from under the hood. I recently sent a video of it smoking it to my mechanic and this is what he had to say: "That's actually the AC drain. So that is just water condensation that is draining from the AC evaporator inside the car and is a normal thing. Why that is hitting the control arm and steaming like that is kind of a mystery to me. Could just be soaking in that heat from the catalytic converter that is on the down pipe right there." I don't need a vehicle any more so it is just not worth it to me to continue paying for parking and to make this repair but this could be a great opportunity for someone to get a great deal on a car if you know a bit about Subarus!
