We have turned the rugged 240GD into a go anywhere masterpiece. Power to the 240GD is provided by a naturally aspirated OM616 2.4 liter inline 4 cylinder diesel which is known for its durability. This is the engine that has received recognition for reaching the 1,000,000 mile mark without a rebuild. A four speed transmission allows the truck to comfortably cruise at 60 mph. The Transfer Case and Differential Lockers make this one of the most capable 4X4s on the market. Power flows through the transfer case which is adjustable on the fly - 4x2 High, 4x4 High, 4x4 Low. Front and Rear Differentials are lockable independently with pull knobs. Registration is possible in every state including California as the truck is over 25 years and diesel. Being 25, diesel, and under 12,000 gross lbs allows exemption from California smog testing. Comes with a clean Pennsylvania title. This 240GD has very low miles, approximately 46K. It has been meticulously serviced by the German military in regular intervals. The truck was driven for approximately 50 miles after restoration and importation. We can say that those miles were very comfortable and fun driving experience! It handle the trails as well as the tarmac with ease. One thing to note is that even during a hot and sunny day driving with no top on is enjoyable as there is ample air circulating around the cabin.
