A gyroscopic sensor detects lean angles and the center HID beam is then aimed by a mirror moved by a servo that directs light toward the curve. Wheel-speed sensors to maintain traction and prevent rear-wheel spinning. Electronic Suspension Adjustment II (ESA II) is standard on the GTL. ESA II adjusts front and rear shock rebound damping and rear-spring preload with the push of a button. Choose from Sport, Normal or Comfort damping, along with solo, solo with luggage or passenger with luggage preload settings.Sturdy framework and a single-sided swingarm keep weight down. Refinement is the key word, as many of the systems have been developed on previous models and are now in their second (or more) generation. These include BMW's patented and proven Duolever front end and Paralever rear suspension. Dual front brake discs with four-piston calipers and a single rear rotor with two-piston caliper provide stopping power.
