The Heritage Edition was a special series of options that added almost $6,000 to the sticker price, putting this car at almost $52,000 new! The package included Vogue tires, custom trunk lid, hand-painted pin striping, extra chrome, and the landau carriage roof. In addition to being the top-of-the-line Cartier model, it has quite a number of features, such as heated memory seats, original chrome plated wheels, automatic dimming mirrors, heated outside mirrors, AM/FM/Cassette/CD Alpine factory stereo, lumbar seats, automatic headlights, sunroof, top of the line Eagle Ottawa leather interior, just to mention a few. The mileage is documented on the title. I purchased this from the original owner last month. I am not really wanting to sell it, but I have some unexpected bills that came up, and besides, this is too nice to use as a daily driver (which was my intent when I originally purchased it). It was always in a garage, never in the salt, and is evident by its condition. Exterior: The factory tri-color paint is a beautiful ivory, and changes color depending on the lighting. It appears like a beautiful pearl on a bright day. The paint reflects the fact it was very well kept. I see no evidence of any paint work on the body. The chrome and the stainless steel also shine brilliantly. No dents or dings to speak of. The only flaws I can see pertain to the front bumper (a few scratches and marks) and the vinyl top has some spotting from an apparent chemical that got on it. It might come out with the proper treatment but I didn’t want to make it worse, so I left it alone after my first attempt at treating it. The headlights have no signs of ever being replaced, and they are still crystal clear, which could only be explained by the fact it was garage kept. The tires have some curb rash, and one of them has a partial surface cut on the side wall which was glued (see pic) but they still passed inspection and ride like new. There are a couple very small areas of road rash on the rims, on the very outer lip. Other than these couple of items the exterior is darn near perfect. The underneath is evident of never being in salt. It is solid as can be. Interior: The interior has no evidence of ever being smoked in; the leather is soft and supple; the seats, headliner and carpets are clean and free of stains or rips. It still smells like a new car. Everything works inside except the sunroof/sunshade will not retract, and for some reason, the speedometer does not always work. However, the odometer works 100% of the time, so there is absolutely no concern about the accuracy of the mileage! I use a GPS on the highway so this works fine in its place re: MPH when the speedo quits. A/C blows cold; all other power goodies work great, including the awesome Alpine stereo with Cassette and 6-disc CD changer. The original Lincoln phone is still present which could probably be reactivated if someone wanted to use it. It has a hard-wired set up from the factory inside the front armrest. Mechanical: The motor purrs like a kitten and is extremely smooth. The engine is the 4.6 V-8 engine which is both economical and reliable. The car does not leak any fluids anywhere. The tires are all 4 matching Vogue’s and have a fair amount of tread remaining. They are probably the smoothest riding tires I’ve owned. The spare tire is a full size Michelin, which appears to have never been used. The car passed the rigorous PA inspection this summer and is valid through June 2017. The coolant was just changed. The car tracks straight, steering is tight, and brakes are silk smooth. This baby runs beautifully and is ready for show and drive! I recently had it on a 700 mile round trip and it performed beautifully. I would not be afraid to drive it anywhere! Overall: If you are looking for a spectacular example of the last of the traditional full size Lincoln, this one’s for you. The car is gorgeous and gets lots of compliments. This car is so nice, that most people selling on eBay might say the car is “perfect” or “flawless”. The average person may describe it as such-- but for a car collector, there’s never anything 100% perfect unless it was restored. As such, this car was never restored and has almost 28,000 miles and has some trivial flaws mentioned above. I have sold numerous cars on eBay and in all situations I had positive feedback. I attempt to describe each vehicle as accurately and honestly as possible and I do not think you will be disappointed. As with anything, if you desire to bid on the vehicle, I would encourage you to see it physically and drive it for yourself before you bid. It runs and drives excellent and will make a very nice classic for you. 1999 Lincoln Town Car Cartier Heritage Edition / 28k original miles / gorgeous / rare / garage kept / never in salt / 1 owner
You are viewing an absolutely gorgeous Cartier Heritage Edition with a barely-used 27,750 original miles. The Heritage Edition was a special series of options that added almost $6,000 to the sticker price, putting this car at almost $52,000 new! The package included Vogue tires, custom trunk lid, hand-painted pin striping, extra chrome, and the landau carriage roof. In addition to being the top-of-the-line Cartier model, it has quite a number of features, such as heated memory seats, original chrome plated wheels, automatic dimming mirrors, heated outside mirrors, AM/FM/Cassette/CD Alpine factory stereo, lumbar seats, automatic headlights, sunroof, top of the line Eagle Ottawa leather interior, just to mention a few. The mileage is documented on the title. I purchased this from the original owner last month. I am not really wanting to sell it, but I have some unexpected bills that came up, and besides, this is too nice to use as a daily driver (which was my intent when I originally purchased it). It was always in a garage, never in the salt, and is evident by its condition.
Exterior: The factory tri-color paint is a beautiful ivory, and changes color depending on the lighting. It appears like a beautiful pearl on a bright day. The paint reflects the fact it was very well kept. I see no evidence of any paint work on the body. The chrome and the stainless steel also shine brilliantly. No dents or dings to speak of. The only flaws I can see pertain to the front bumper (a few scratches and marks) and the vinyl top has some spotting from an apparent chemical that got on it. It might come out with the proper treatment but I didn’t want to make it worse, so I left it alone after my first attempt at treating it. The headlights have no signs of ever being replaced, and they are still crystal clear, which could only be explained by the fact it was garage kept. The tires have some curb rash, and one of them has a partial surface cut on the side wall which was glued (see pic) but they still passed inspection and ride like new. There are a couple very small areas of road rash on the rims, on the very outer lip. Other than these couple of items the exterior is darn near perfect. The underneath is evident of never being in salt. It is solid as can be.
Interior: The interior has no evidence of ever being smoked in; the leather is soft and supple; the seats, headliner and carpets are clean and free of stains or rips. It still smells like a new car. Everything works inside except the sunroof/sunshade will not retract, and for some reason, the speedometer does not always work. However, the odometer works 100% of the time, so there is absolutely no concern about the accuracy of the mileage! I use a GPS on the highway so this works fine in its place re: MPH when the speedo quits. A/C blows cold; all other power goodies work great, including the awesome Alpine stereo with Cassette and 6-disc CD changer. The original Lincoln phone is still present which could probably be reactivated if someone wanted to use it. It has a hard-wired set up from the factory inside the front armrest.
Mechanical: The motor purrs like a kitten and is extremely smooth. The engine is the 4.6 V-8 engine which is both economical and reliable. The car does not leak any fluids anywhere. The tires are all 4 matching Vogue’s and have a fair amount of tread remaining. They are probably the smoothest riding tires I’ve owned. The spare tire is a full size Michelin, which appears to have never been used. The car passed the rigorous PA inspection this summer and is valid through June 2017. The coolant was just changed. The car tracks straight, steering is tight, and brakes are silk smooth. This baby runs beautifully and is ready for show and drive! I recently had it on a 700 mile round trip and it performed beautifully. I would not be afraid to drive it anywhere!
Overall: If you are looking for a spectacular example of the last of the traditional full size Lincoln, this one’s for you. The car is gorgeous and gets lots of compliments. This car is so nice, that most people selling on eBay might say the car is “perfect” or “flawless”. The average person may describe it as such-- but for a car collector, there’s never anything 100% perfect unless it was restored. As such, this car was never restored and has almost 28,000 miles and has some trivial flaws mentioned above. I have sold numerous cars on eBay and in all situations I had positive feedback. I attempt to describe each vehicle as accurately and honestly as possible and I do not think you will be disappointed. As with anything, if you desire to bid on the vehicle, I would encourage you to see it physically and drive it for yourself before you bid. It runs and drives excellent and will make a very nice classic for you. If you get the winning bid and are not completely satisfied upon your physical inspection, you can walk away from the vehicle, less $100 of your deposit (to pay for the cost of having to relist on eBay).
