Hello, I am selling a beautiful 1988 Mercedes Unimog 4X4. Considered the most capable production vehicle in the world. My family purchased this vehicle with the intentions of making the ultimate overland vehicle. We have changed directions and no longer will be using the vehicle for the intended purpose, so instead of letting it sit unused, we have decided to allow another family the opportunity to pursue their dreams of overlanding in the ultimate vehicle we mere humans have to offer. :) The truck is mechanically 100%. It was completely gone through prior to being imported. No rust or corrosion. Air compressor, transmission, brakes, steering, all work as it should. The absolute only thing that does not work on the dash is the switch for the overhead rotating lights, as they cut the power to these in order to disable the "emergency" lighting per their export policy. The truck has been fitted with absolutely new tires and a matching spare. A custom spare tire carrier has been installed, however; the tire is not yet mounted. I will include the required longer lug nuts to install in the carrier to be able to fit the larger than stock tire/wheel. Truck has the newer OM366A power plant, and "fast axles". 8 Speed Gear Box with 8 forward and 4 reverse gears. Air over Hydraulic brakes, and has an additional fuel tanks installed with electric tank selection on the dash using existing switch and wiring. Truck is absolutely ready to build out the spacious "ambulance box" to suit your needs. Multiple plans are available online to build out the interior for expedition to weekend camping..or just use it as is. It is clean and in great shape with a diesel powered heater. Has side access door and double rear doors. Side access door has fold down steps that retract when the door is closed. The truck also has built in Jerry Can holders and multiple locking boxes on the outside access of the vehicle. Notes: Truck has the cab mounted ring mount hatch that is sealed. Everything and all lighting works. No fuses for this military model of Unimog. It is all breakers that are accessible right in front of the driver's dash board. Vehicle is a left hand drive, and is already registered and tagged with a current Oklahoma license plate. Clear Oklahoma title. Ships just like a regular oversize/lifted SUV.
