Vehicle Detail
75 BMW 2002, 4 cyl (B7) with automatic. The autos are a pretty rare find. Car has about 130k miles. Starts, idles, runs, drives and stops well! Runs 70-75+ nice and smooth. Turns heads, cruises nicely. The car is actually a reliable daily driver. Has a new battery, good alternator. The head gasket, valve cover gasket and timing chain gasket were just changed, new plugs and wires as well. Has the weber carb and electric fuel pump upgrades, but comes with the stock carb, as well as tons of other parts if you wish to put the car back to original. The bin of parts includes, but is not limited to: factory air cleaner, Intake, carb, valve cover and other gaskets. Extra distributor, body panel trim and brakes. Essentially a BMW 2002 survival kit for peace of mind if you so desire. The tires are in good shape. The down sides are even though it has new exaust manifold gaskets, there is an exaust leak ticking around somewhere in that area, Id have to guess just under the firewall where it connects to the pipe. The body has been painted, a Nissan blue, the car was originally red, it looks nice, but the prep wasn't top notch, so you can see the old corrosion poking through. It is a solid rugged tank of a car, though the rear driver side fender well could use replacement. You don't feel any looseness, or vibration, but it is rusted through. The fender well runs about 67 bucks on restoration designs website. Cutting and welding is beyond my equip and talent. The interior is in great shape as well. a small tear in the butt of the driver seat, The passenger door window had a spring fall out and jumped the track so it is stuck in the up position right now. Speedo and fuel gauge work properly, climate controls work, the coolant temp sensor is aftermarket, and I have yet to figure out which wire goes where to what to make it work. So there are some little odds and ends, and the wheel well, that make it a pretty novice level project, but as far as a reliable daily, its covered, a cruise night car, its covered, so at this level you have the flexibility to turn the key and enjoy, or put some odds and ends back together.
