(if video doesnt play, try watching on non mobile device like Home PC) I bought this 1951 Chevy 5 window pick up truck from the grandson of the original owner. He wanted to bring it back to life after it had been stored since 1993 at their family farm. He started to address the issues with the truck last fall and worked on it through the winter. Due to finacial trouble he had to sell the truck so I bought it. The things he did to the truck before I got it was put a good running 216 6cyl in it. He did a complete tune up to the truck. He installed a new master cylinder so that the truck would stop when driven. The 216 6cyl engine does not knock, miss, or smoke and runs really good in my opinion. The trans 4 speed shifts all gears and reverse with ease. the truck goes down the road as the video shows and I was averaging 40-50 mph. He converted it to a 12 volt and it starts every time on the first try. it still has the floor push starter and has the key ignition but he used a toggle switch to power on and off the truck. the original gas tank is there but should be cleaned before using, i am running it off a aux tank right now. the tires are servicable but not new. the wire harness (original 6 volt) is there but bypassed so the lights and guages and horn do not work. This Truck has a patina look that is to die for with most of the original paint still there. The previous owner painted the dash and door panels and put new cardboard door panels on the doors. It really looks great. The floors as shown in the video look good. This truck has the correct hubcaps as pictured. He addressed some rust issues but there are still some spots that could be addressed. I pictured and videod any spot I did see. He told me he reinforced the frame where there was some rust starting with strong welded steel to keep it solid. The rear tailgate hinges were rusty and should be replaced as they are tac welded to keep it shut ($30 for a pair LMC truck) This truck comes with a VINTAGE sunvisor that really sets the truck off well. It has the original seat that has a seat cover over it. The windows have cracks as pictured and should be addressed (new glass is about $30 per a window LMC truck) This 3600 5 window truck comes with a clean and current title ready for you to register. As my video shows this truck is a absolute blast to drive and the rare five window body makes it a very collectible and desirable style. I do not want to overcall this truck or undercall it, it is a great truck you can use right now while tinkering with it or you can take it to the next level and have a 30-50k truck done. As everyone has their own opinion of what a unrestored 5 window pick up should be, I recommend you come and inspect the truck in person or hire ebay to do a independant inspection for you before bidding. If I do not receive the deposit within the time frame or before you come for the truck, I will assume you are a dreamer or a scammer and not serious about buying it. the plate and dash magnets and toppers do not go with the truck as they are part of my personal collection.
