This is a running, driving VW convertible.Tags expired in the 1990's, so I assume it had been parked till recently.Engine was pulled out, new piston rings installed, new oil cooler seals, push rod tube seals, and rear main seal replaced. Rebuilt generator and voltage regulator also installed. 009 type distributor and custom empi exhaust installed.Transmission is a 4 speed, shifts well.The soft brake lines and master cylinder were also replaced at some point, along with the wheel cylinders, not sure when, but they are not original to the car.recent top, rear window seal, and windshield seal.Steering feels tight for a bug.The rear quarter pans (under battery) have been replaced with factory stampings at some point, welded in, and undercoated.The bug has been repainted with what looks like the factory red, This is not a show car, It has surface scratches, imperfections, etc. it is a 45 year old economy car, not a lambo! Expect that this car will need some tinkering to get it fully dialed in.Fun to drive, looks good for its age.Car odometer shows about 66k miles, not sure if its original or not.$500 deposit is not refundable, You are bidding on the car to BUY it, you are not bidding on it to come see it and then decide if you want it or not!You are welcome to set up a time to come see it or ask questions .
