Vehicle Detail
My like new 1982 GS850GLZ. I have had it since about 2012. It is perfect in every regard with the exception of a small scratch on tank. I will go back for a detailed pic of it later but it's hard to see. Inside of tank is clean and original. The pictures show some reflections from chrome turn signals...there are no marks or scrapes anywhere on tank. There are no dents and no rust and no cracked or damaged items on the bike. The tank and side plates are virtually perfect original paint. The pipes have no rust or dents, even underneath. I have 8 old bikes and I love them, but yesterday I bought a pretty CB900 and I have to cut one loose. This one has to be sold. But my bikes are my hobby. I am a degreed engineer and I like to work on my bikes. This bike is in perfect running condition. Tires are balanced, carbs are synced. You can start this up at my house and ride 1000 miles home with it. Tires are new from 2012. Have about 2,000 miles on them. Literally. If you buy it and want to drive it home it's fine. Do it. If you buy it and come see it and it fails your expectations then I am happy to let you off the hook but you will loose your deposit ( I don't expect that to happen). This bike is extremely smooth. The suspension is smooth, the clutch and throttle and shifter feel very smooth. This is a sweet cruiser. It's all original and it runs perfect. It's currently registered, titled, and insured in my name and I have the title ready to sign over to the happy buyer. Happy bidding. -Gary On Jul-18-16 at 08:12:39 PDT, seller added the following information: International buyers must contact me to discuss potential payment issues and how the transfer of the motorcycle takes place. Buyer is RESPONSIBLE for shipping and my responsibility ends upon pickup of the vehicle by buyer or representative. I am very concerned about potential payment scams and will want extra time for payments to clear and be verified by the bank for multiple days prior to pickup. If you have any doubts, then come see me and come see the vehicle. On Jul-18-16 at 08:23:09 PDT, seller added the following information: As I mentioned, there is a small scratch on the left top edge of tank. If its polished with red wax it can't really be seen and its never really bothered me but I wanted to make sure bidders could see a picture of it. So here are a couple pictures. See small scratch near sunlight reflection. Added two pictures. On Jul-18-16 at 18:51:17 PDT, seller added the following information: Had it out for a little ride Sunday...about 40 miles. It runs perfect. A goodbye ride. On Jul-19-16 at 14:12:31 PDT, seller added the following information: ------------------------------ Since buyer is responsible to take possession at my house and ship it, or drive it off, themselves, I expect that we will do the following: The buyer, or your shipping representative on your behalf, must see the bike and signoff on a document that confirms that it looks as pictured and operates fully as represented here, before I will complete the transaction and let the bike leave my possession. As I read about Ebay scams I think this will best protect both parties. This way you KNOW that you are getting what you expect, and I know that you are satisfied with it, prior to completing the transaction and change of possession of the Bike. I am also happy to provide any pictures or videos that you may request to accomplish this...I much prefer you come see it yourself, and sign off on accepting the motorcycle in person, but I am happy to take as many pictures or videos as may be required by the buyer. I will not accept payment, and I will not let the bike leave my possession, until both parties agree that the bike is as represented, and they accept it as such in writing. Of concern to me is the Ebay scam where the buyer pays, takes the bike (or other product), then says it wasn't as expected, asks Ebay for a refund, and says they shipped the product back...but never does ship it back. Read online...it's all explained. I think this is the best way to stop that approach. Send me an email if you have a better idea...I am open to other approaches if you have a better idea. Thank you. Gary
