Vehicle Detail
This Bronco is a very rare find. This is a 1987 Ford Bronco Eddie Bauer 4x4 with a 302 V8 and an automatic transmission. This Bronco is in original condition, just like it left the Ford lot back in 1987 with the exception of an old school Pioneer Super Tuner cassette deck that was probably installed sometime in the 90's. It currently has 33,702 original miles on it. It still retains the original Ford spark plug wires and the AC is still set up for R12 Freon and has not been converted to 134A yet. The truck comes with the original owner's manual, books, and some paperwork from the dealer. ***I do not have the window sticker. History: This truck was purchased new at Sloan Ford in Columbia, TN in 1987. The original owner kept the truck until June 2016. The guy I bought it from did some excavating work for the original owner and took the truck as payment for the work. I bought the truck from him a few weeks later. So the truck has really only had one owner. The Good: The truck has very nice interior and its very obvious by the condition that the miles are true and correct. The truck has never been wrecked. The passenger seat and the back seat look like they have never been sat in. The driver's seat has very little wear. The truck has manual windows and locks so you don't have to mess with the power options not working. It does have the power back window that works perfectly from the dash and by using the key on the tailgate. All four tires are Hankook tires and look new. The 4WD works perfectly. The doors and tailgate open and shut like new, there is no sagging or worn out hinges. The truck runs great and drives straight down the interstate at 80 mph. The truck has always been in middle Tennessee since day one and has zero rust on the body. The body is real straight. The Not So Good: The exterior is showing its age, (especially the hood), and could use a restoration on the outside. A repaint, the chrome polished up, and new emblems would make this Bronco look new again. There is a dent about the size of a golf ball on the passenger's door as well as what looks like a parking lot ding on the door. Other than that, I have not found any dents on the truck. It has a slow oil leak coming from the rear main seal and the seal needs to be replaced. That is not uncommon for a 30 year old vehicle with low miles. The headliner in the front seat compartment has some dirty spots and a few wear marks, its nothing too bad and would be a cheap fix. Some of the tan paint has wore off of the dash just below the Eddie Bauer emblem on the passenger's side,(see picture). The air conditioner is not blowing cold. Like I said, the truck is still set up for R12 and that Freon has probably been long gone. Although the truck still runs great like it is, it could probably benefit from a tune up. I have tried to be as descriptive as possible about the condition of the truck, I have nothing to hide here. The truck is 30 years old and has never been restored so its not going to be flawless. With a little work this Bronco would be worth more than double my starting bid price. If your looking for an extremely low mileage, rust free, original Bronco, this is the one your looking for. You would be hard pressed to find another one like it. NO RESERVE! High Bid Wins!
