Basically 1st owner; I bought car from original owner in hopes to restore it - never did. Everything is as it was when I purchased it back in 1997. Car sat covered from elements since. Lower rockers and wheel area have rust. Front floor pans still good. Rear passenger floor panel rusted. Others okay. Car looks like it came out of a barn. Interior original 1961 color. Someone attempted a repair on car sometime in the 70's not good. No major debts. All glass good. Need new top as I don't think this one can be repaired. Interior need new everything (seat covers and rug) Engines does run. VW mechanic says good engine for 1961. He has too many other VW projects and can't take mine. Car is currently in Annandale, Va Actual mileage is unknown as I can not verify speedometer as being original, but it more than likely everything on/in the car is original to the best of my knowledge. Photos show rust areas as best as I can show. Feel free to contact me for any other questions. $500 Deposit - Car to be picked up 1 week after auction has ended. Bumpers are in okay condition but do show a little rust. Car was last driven some distance 1997 - but does drive now after engine tune-up. Tires and brakes are old but still work. I love this car...just isn't in my cards for me as I'm a single dad with two teenagers and too much on my plate right now and college just around the corner.
