This is a 1974 super beetle convertible with some mild custom work. (Relisted because "winner of auction" didn't know how auctions work.) Had been sitting in a shed for a long time before being brought back to life! It has a new top, pad, headliner, cables, wooden bow, front windshield seal. New camel color door panels and seat covers. Brakes: New master and wheel cylinders, hard line front to back, soft lines, adjusting stars, some springs and other parts as needed. NEW TIRES with about 2 miles on them. Engine: New pistons and cylinders (upgraded to 1641 cc from 1585 cc), 009 distributor, custom exhaust, new seals, electric fuel pump, later alternator, recent battery, rebuilt carburetor. Runs well, may need final tuning as it was just put back together, about 2 miles since reassembly. Body: Shaved bumpers, front turn signals, (l.e.d.'s relocated to behind the front grill apron). Shaved license light, custom exhaust cut out on rear apron, custom louvered deck lid, aluminum running boards, new headlight rings and chrome molding. Front has been lowered slightly to level out the "nose up" condition that the super beetle is known for. Currently has the "smoked" taillight lenses on it. It has the stock hub caps on it even though they are not on in all the pics. Convertible rails are very solid! Floors have a couple of metal patches (under battery and near back seat on drivers side). Chrome around passenger door window is missing. New windshield was installed but cracked on passenger side. Paint is decent, may have dents/blemishes/imperfections. This is a "driver," NOT A SHOW CAR! May need detailing, adjusting, etc. It is over 40 years old, not a new car. You are welcome to inspect the car before bidding on the car if you like. Car runs and drives, Shifts nice, has some pep for a bug! Might still need minor tinkering and adjusting to be complete.
