It has taken me 3 years to reach this point to finally put up my first Allante for sale. I have owned this for the past 5 years and 20,000 miles and have made the following updates to the car. The project is not complete, but at a good point for the next owner to enjoy for many more years and miles to come! All suspension components have been replace - Monroe struts, wheel bearings, and all bushings.Rack & Pinion steering module replaced.Head gaskets replaced.Transmission replaced, which included all seals, axles, and the a-frame bushings. Bose sound system replaced with repaired radio, cd-player, and cassette deck. Also replaced the amplifiers on each speaker.Windshield replaced, including gasket - baseball hit!Platinum plugs used for tuneup, that included new wires, cap, etc.Using Fram Air Hog air filter.Left front window riser mechanism.Wheels upgraded to Cadillac CTS 17". Look great on this car! Items that will need addressed in the future:The engine fan stopped working from the relay, so I installed a switch to turn it on from the cockpit. not enough knowledge to dig deeper.The top is pretty worn and will eventually need replaced. One bad crossbow does not affect the operation, but I will include a full frame as an extra part at no charge.Also the top needs adjustment on the pulldown system. I have read online how to but it never made sense to me so I did not try. I just pull the breaker when I put the top up and that works.Visor mirrors not in place. Common issue with fractured plastic frames.The leather is cracked and worn, but not torn and still comfortable.Note the trunk lid in the photo - hit and run tore off an after-market spoiler. I haven't found another pearl white to replace yet.Center control tower is only partially working. Unsure of issue but have a second tower to include with the winning bidder.Never serviced the A/C - it is a convertible after-all! :) That is what I currently know of the issues with the car. If you are looking for the pristine perfect Allante, this is not your auction (reflected in the opening price). If you ARE looking for a Great time in a Great Car, this IS your car!
