1970 SS396. This car was produced in Canada for which only about 3500 were made there for this year and model. I have the GM certified build sheet from Canada verifying it is a true SS396. I bought this car with a 454 motor which was not running hence the previous owner installed the 454 emblems on the car. I was able to find an original 396 with the correct CTX code and from a 70 Chevelle SS. So the motor is within 1 month of being "original" after researching the motors vin stamp. The car is complete except tires and rims and has never been restored. I do believe the front end was replaced due to damage early in its life since some of the front end parts are not exact to an SS but probably were readily available. Everything on the GM certified list are on the car as to color, strpies, motor, cowl induction hood, etc. It starts and runs great with no issues. Of course it is a 46 year old car but would only need minor work to make it a daily driver or do a full restoration as it is a true SS car. Also, tires and rims shown do not go with the vehicle unless I get my full asking price. I do not have the original SS rims or cowl induction parts. Also note that front windshield is cracked.
