Vehicle Detail
All original car with the exception of a quality repaint some years ago. Mechanically sound, recently serviced. I'll let the pix speak for themselves. Drives, steers, shifts and brakes perfectly. Will consider trade--cars or trucks only please. I will be glad to answer any questions you may have and the car may be inspected anytime in my warehouse in Daytona. Thanks and happy hunting. On Jun-11-16 at 15:51:50 PDT, seller added the following information: When I started out in this venture the first of this year about to enter retirement, I made mistakes trying to learn how eBay works. So, in that spirit, and knowing that it's what you don't know that always kills you, I'm going to be as straightforward as I possibly can. The good? It's a great classic ride. It runs very well and looks very cool. After sitting for so many years, I used the Bob Drake protocol for bringing it back to life (replacing this and that and doing the triple oil drain method). It worked flawlessly. It's fun driving it around and pulling into shows where you meet a lot of different people. The bad? I believed it to be completely original, so I paid way too much for it. With the help of an EFV8 member and my guy in Daytona, it was determined that although it was a nice paint job in the original color, it had been painted sometime in the past. As it was explained to me, that killed it being considered for the "rouge" class of collector car (completely original including paint). Oh well. So the rest is original. Also, if you look closely on the driver's side profile on the running board, just behind the rubber runner, there is a rust "blister." Not through the steel so it can be ground down and leaded to form. Since it's not original anyway, who cares? Finally, on the front fender on the driver's side, there's a few mars in the paint, probably from someone struggling to get that 100 pound hood off. Good news is the steel was unphased. Just discoloration. The dome light in the interior I ordered arrived broken and have reordered. It fits in with a snap ring. All the door handles and window cranks are good and the escutcheons are on. Windows roll up and down and I replaced the rubber door seals as they had degraded too much. The driver door "droops" a little when open, which I've found can be cured by an oversized door pin and a hinge pin tool. That's about all I know. Call or text me at Nine85-377-five409 if you need any more information. BTW, I just nose dived off the reserve to better reflect what I can determine to be its true value off of countless other sites and using several valuation tools. Of course, as a buyer, it's always too much... We'll see. The rest is up to you. Thanks, John
