We are selling our beloved family van because we want to upgrade to a new van that we can customize as an RV. It's a 12 passenger Diesel van with a high roof and rear air conditioning. It also has a back-up camera and a DVD player. We bought it from a used car dealer and took it to Mercedes of Paramus to get it checked. They did repairs for $4161.98 (among other things new brake pads and discs). We then went on a road trip from New Jersey to the Great Lakes, and then along the Mississippi River from Lake Itasca in Minnesota to the Gulf of Mexico. We spent a little longer in Minneapolis than planned, because our Sprinti (as the kids call it) needed a new turbo. Even though the oil change was not due yet, we got that done as well and paid $4445.46. The Sprinter technicians in Minneapolis told us that there was a very minor leak in the oil cooler that might need attention in the future. We wished they had replaced the oil cooler at this time as well. While this is a rather inexpensive part, you need to remove the turbo to get to it, and the hours of work add up (especially with Mercedes prices). Other issues: One of the keys is broken (with the other piece of the key still in the ignition). That never bothered us, because both keys work fine to start and drive the van. One of the seat belts in the last row is stuck. Mercedes wanted $600 to fix it, and we thought that it was not worth it. So, technically, you can only transport 11 people because the 12th passenger cannot buckle up. I successfully destroyed the SD card with the maps for the Navigation system. But the maps were outdated anyway and we prefer google maps. Everything else works, though! The DVD player and TV are great. We went through several seasons of "Little house on the prairie" on our road trip. And we actually visited some of the places of the series (like Walnut Grove, MN). We invite you to come to Hoboken, NJ and inspect and test drive the van yourself. We will not ship. You will need to come to Hoboken and pick up the van yourself. The van was only serviced by Mercedes-Benz certified Sprinter workshops and we have all the service records. If you like, we can take off the flower stickers. Happy bidding!
