This is virtually the same car as the Park Avenue except for the seats. I purchased it from the local Buick dealer where the previous owner purchased it in the mid 1980’s. In talking to the previous owner, he said he bought it when it only had about 25,000 miles; he drove it occasionally to keep the seals fresh. It has always been garage kept and stored away in the winters. Most cars from this region are scaly underneath….but NOT this one…scale is very minimal and evident it was not driven in salt. It has 31,622 ORIGINAL miles and has been pampered since new. The mileage is documented on the title. Everything about the car, right down to the stitching in the landau roof, is in beautiful shape. The last safety inspection was performed last month and passed with flying colors. This beautiful car has many features available in 1983. In addition to being the Limited model, it has quite a number of options, such as, factory Buick chrome road wheels, AM/FM stereo w/ cassette player, power antenna, power trunk release, power windows/locks/drivers seat, power passenger recliner, analog clock, vanity mirror, rear defrost, intermittent wipers, and cruise control. Overall the car is immaculate. The title is clear and has no liens. The title also documents the original mileage. This is a very comfortable car, and one of the last years of the traditional Electra’s…with the reliable 5.0 liter engine. The car runs and drives beautifully. Exterior: The paint appears to be mostly original and retains a beautiful luster. It is brilliant and gorgeous. The paint reflects the fact it was garage kept. The chrome and the stainless steel also shine brilliantly and near perfect. The factory landau top matches the dark blue interior, and is also like brand new and has no stains, rips, tears or fading. The wheels are in excellent shape and are like new. The exterior is absolutely gorgeous and is obvious of the care it has received. The underbody is in great shape. I can’t think of any flaws to mention…..if there are, they would be trivial. Interior: The dark blue interior is stunning and very comfortable. They feel, look, and smell brand new.….and there are NO air fresheners needed in this car! It was obviously NEVER smoked in. Cigarette lighters were never used. There are no rips, stains or holes anywhere. Same with the carpets, headliner, and sun visors. The dash is beautiful; no cracks. Door panels are like new….no cracks, fading, etc. The stitching in the seats is like new too. The power equipment goodies all work (even the power antenna!) and the A/C still blows cold, which retains the old R-12 refrigerant. Mechanical: The motor purrs like a kitten and is extremely smooth. As mentioned earlier, the motor is the 5.0 V-8 engine which is both reliable and relatively economical. The car was serviced regularly and pampered. The car does not leak any fluids anywhere. All 4 tires are factory original….they’re still in good shape but I would hesitate to drive fast or on a long trip due to their age. The spare tire is a full size, which is preferable to a donut tire, and was never mounted on the car. The jack was never used either. The exhaust is still original, however the original owner eliminated the catalytic converter. My mechanic performed a PA safety inspection this Spring and it passed no problem; however I left the old sticker from 2010 intact in case the next owner wants it that way. But I have documentation to prove the inspection and I would welcome anyone to talk to my mechanic about the car. The car tracks straight, steering is tight, and brakes are silk smooth. This baby runs beautifully and is ready for show and drive! Overall: If you are looking for a spectacular example of the last of the traditional full Electra, this one’s for you. The car is absolutely gorgeous. This is a one of a kind. This car is so nice, that most people selling on eBay might say the car is “perfect” or “flawless”. The average person may describe it as such-- but for a car collector, there’s never anything 100% perfect unless it was restored. As such, this car was never restored and has 31,600 miles and may have some trivial flaws. I have sold numerous cars on eBay and in all situations I had positive feedback. I attempt to describe each vehicle as accurately and honestly as possible and I do not think you will be disappointed. As with anything, if you desire to bid on the vehicle, I would encourage you to see it physically and drive it for yourself before you bid. I would not be afraid to drive this car across the country. It runs and drives excellent and will make a very nice classic for you. If you get the winning bid and are not completely satisfied upon your physical inspection, you can walk away from the vehicle, less $100 of your deposit (to pay for the cost of having to relist on eBay). You are viewing a gorgeous 1983 Buick Electra Limited. This is virtually the same car as the Park Avenue except for the seats. I purchased it from the local Buick dealer where the previous owner purchased it in the mid 1980’s. In talking to the previous owner, he said he bought it when it only had about 25,000 miles; he drove it occasionally to keep the seals fresh. It has always been garage kept and stored away in the winters. Most cars from this region are scaly underneath….but NOT this one…scale is very minimal and evident it was not driven in salt. It has 31,622 ORIGINAL miles and has been pampered since new. The mileage is documented on the title. Everything about the car, right down to the stitching in the landau roof, is in beautiful shape. The last safety inspection was performed last month and passed with flying colors. This beautiful car has many features available in 1983. In addition to being the Limited model, it has quite a number of options, such as, factory Buick chrome road wheels, AM/FM stereo w/ cassette player, power antenna, power trunk release, power windows/locks/drivers seat, power passenger recliner, analog clock, vanity mirror, rear defrost, intermittent wipers, and cruise control. Overall the car is immaculate. The title is clear and has no liens. The title also documents the original mileage. This is a very comfortable car, and one of the last years of the traditional Electra’s…with the reliable 5.0 liter engine. The car runs and drives beautifully.
Exterior:
The paint appears to be mostly original and retains a beautiful luster. It is brilliant and gorgeous. The paint reflects the fact it was garage kept. The chrome and the stainless steel also shine brilliantly and near perfect. The factory landau top matches the dark blue interior, and is also like brand new and has no stains, rips, tears or fading. The wheels are in excellent shape and are like new. The exterior is absolutely gorgeous and is obvious of the care it has received. The underbody is in great shape. I can’t think of any flaws to mention…..if there are, they would be trivial.
Interior:
The dark blue interior is stunning and very comfortable. They feel, look, and smell brand new.….and there are NO air fresheners needed in this car! It was obviously NEVER smoked in. Cigarette lighters were never used. There are no rips, stains or holes anywhere. Same with the carpets, headliner, and sun visors. The dash is beautiful; no cracks. Door panels are like new….no cracks, fading, etc. The stitching in the seats is like new too. The power equipment goodies all work (even the power antenna!) and the A/C still blows cold, which retains the old R-12 refrigerant.
Mechanical:
The motor purrs like a kitten and is extremely smooth. As mentioned earlier, the motor is the 5.0 V-8 engine which is both reliable and relatively economical. The car was serviced regularly and pampered. The car does not leak any fluids anywhere. All 4 tires are factory original….they’re still in good shape but I would hesitate to drive fast or on a long trip due to their age. The spare tire is a full size, which is preferable to a donut tire, and was never mounted on the car. The jack was never used either. The exhaust is still original, however the original owner eliminated the catalytic converter. My mechanic performed a PA safety inspection this Spring and it passed no problem; however I left the old sticker from 2010 intact in case the next owner wants it that way. But I have documentation to prove the inspection and I would welcome anyone to talk to my mechanic about the car. The car tracks straight, steering is tight, and brakes are silk smooth. This baby runs beautifully and is ready for show and drive!
Overall:
If you are looking for a spectacular example of the last of the traditional full Electra, this one’s for you. The car is absolutely gorgeous. This is a one of a kind. This car is so nice, that most people selling on eBay might say the car is “perfect” or “flawless”. The average person may describe it as such-- but for a car collector, there’s never anything 100% perfect unless it was restored. As such, this car was never restored and has 31,600 miles and may have some trivial flaws. I have sold numerous cars on eBay and in all situations I had positive feedback. I attempt to describe each vehicle as accurately and honestly as possible and I do not think you will be disappointed. As with anything, if you desire to bid on the vehicle, I would encourage you to see it physically and drive it for yourself before you bid. I would not be afraid to drive this car across the country. It runs and drives excellent and will make a very nice classic for you. If you get the winning bid and are not completely satisfied upon your physical inspection, you can walk away from the vehicle, less $100 of your deposit (to pay for the cost of having to relist on eBay).
