Vehicle Detail
*Car is being relisted as previous winner didn't pay for over 20 days* 1989 Skyline GT-R Gunmetal grey 124,xxx kms Currently located near Winnipeg, Manitoba. Can potentially be trailered at buyers expense (ask for details). Story: I've owned the car since 2009. Car sat for the last 3.5 years in storage while I went back to school and then moved away for work. While working on the other side of the country I debated selling it multiple times once it became 25 years old (and therefore US legal), but I was so far away I couldn't even confirm it would fire back up. I'm back home now, but with a baby boy that eats up a lot of my time not spent at work. A few weeks ago I took the time to change the oil and filter and give the battery a boost and sure enough she fired right up first try... ran great, bit rich but no stumbles even with the old gas. I have videos up on youtube here: The Good: (I'm sure I'll miss something) - Hks intercooler piping - Big aftermarket intercooler - Yellowjacket coils - Nismo exhaust - N1 oil pump (NIB, not installed yet) - Nismo solid shift kit (NIB, not installed yet) - DMAX LED tail lights (NIB, not installed yet) - 2x Garrett 2860-5 and what I'm led to believe is everything or almost everything needed to convert to twin top mount setup. (also not installed) - Whatever other parts I find or I'm forgetting for the car will be included in the sale The Bad: - Rust. The usual rear wheel arches. I have more pictures specific to the rust if you message me. - Theres a power steering hose that cracked open shortly before I parked the car in storage. So that will need replacement. - After being parked for 3+ years any buyer should expect some work (fluids, brakes?, etc) - Obviously after sitting for so long I can't guarantee anything about the condition or if it would make a long road trip so I do recommend trailering it home if you win the auction. The Other: - drivers side (right side) rear quarter panel has a patch of primer. There was some rust starting on the "C" pillar, so as I was parking the car in storage I decided to eliminate any rust I wouldn't be cutting out anyway when I did the widebody I had planned. After grinding the area to bare metal I discovered that it seemed the quarter panel had been replaced in the past as the rust seemed to be at the welded seam joining the new panel to the original body. To try to protect the area from rust while the car was in storage I ground to bare metal, applied multiple anti rust products, sprayed some primer, applied some bondo and sprayed some more primer. So far it seems to be holding up, no rust has returned. - As this car will likely go to an American buyer please know that as the car is stored with family it will not be a problem to store the car free of charge for a reasonable amount of time until shipping the car can be arranged as long as the car is paid for. On that note if it helps I also have retired family members with a truck and car hauler trailer that are willing to do the drive for the price of their travel expenses (as long as you've dealt with the paperwork at the Canada/US border). If you decide to fly up and rent a truck and uhaul trailer to haul it home yourself I don't mind picking you up at the airport and driving you to pickup the truck and trailer. I'm very willing to help you if it helps me move on from the car and buy a house for my family. Please note: the car is also for sale locally and on other sites so the auction will be taken down if it sells outside of ebay before the auction closes
