My wife is pregnant so our convertible days are on a pause for a bit. This 1986 Mercedes 560SL is in exceptional mechanical shape. I purchased it last year from a woman whose father owned it for 20 years before he passed away. He was a surgeon on Long Island and he took serious care of the car. It was primarily serviced by a well known and respected Mercedes specialized mechanic in Manhasset. I brought the car to two other mechanics each of whom were very, very impressed with the investment and care put into all mechanical aspects of the car. Steering, transmission, engine, brakes, shocks... all are mechanically sound.If you are looking for a vintage, headturner R107 which won't give you any issues then this is the car for you. You will be able to hit the beaches or the mountains without a care.I encourage anyone in NYC in the market for a well cared for R107 to come and take a look.
