NO RESERVE AUCTION HIGH BID WINS THE CAR RUSTFREE, RUNS DRIVESNEEDS WORK 1978 Honda Accord in solid unrestored, unmodified condition. Has an original CVCC 4 cylinder engine in it. Has a 5 speed manual transmission. Has Honda Air Conditioning that appears complete except for the belt, but does not work. Does look like it has all of the A/C parts. I purchased this car in Northern California and had it transported back to Connecticut. There are no early Hondas left in original unpatched condition. They all rusted away within 4-5 years, I was there, I remember. Was repainted many years ago before I bought it. Needs some work to the engine, it began to smoke. Compression test is Cyl #1 105lbs, Cyl#2 120lbs, Cyl#3 95lbs, Cyl#4 100lbs. Cylinder #2 is the cylinder that is getting oil into it and burning it. I always intended to freshen up the engine so it's time now. Oil pressure is good, no engine noises. Windshield has a large chip in it, plan on replacing it (about $200 online installed) Very few first generation Accords left, and they are climbing in value. Great opportunity to buy a rock solid Accord, no sheetmetal replacement needed. I have a clean California title in hand. Sold AS IS. If you want to see the car, please call me to arrange it.
