Vehicle Detail

Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Here is a NO RESERVE “priced to go” 7-day auction for a damaged commercial white Chevrolet Express 2500 2000 3/4 ton cargo van equipped with a 5.0L V8 gasoline powered engine, automatic transmission and vinyl driver and passenger high back bucket seats. The cargo van has been equipped with a high quality grey steel separation/protection cage with a service door for quick access between the cargo bay area and the front cabin. It also has a convenient paperwork bin attached to the door. The cargo van was unfortunately victim of a frontal accident last summer during a service call out of town. The front metal bumper, plastic grill, miscellaneous plastic parts in the engine compartment (from what we see at least the battery tray) and the hood are damaged and must be replaced. The front hood latch support frame has been bent slightly inward and must be straighten outward for the hood to close and latch properly. Both the driver and passenger side air bags did deploy during the impact (fortunately none of my technicians were seriously hurt BTW). The passenger door slightly scrapes the front fender due to the bent supports mentioned above. The center console suffered damage as merchandise slid and slammed into it from the cargo area during the sudden deceleration (the cargo door was left open). The only mechanical problem we are aware of is a broken transmission coolant line outgoing from the transmission to the radiator that ruptured in the impact causing the ATF (Automatic Transmission Fluid) to spray out with vigour. However, the radiator itself seams not to be affected as it still holds coolant. The driver side bucket seat has had its seating surface replaced with white vinyl as the original was split open from wear and tear. The severely bent bumper was removed only to permit the van to drive around the lot and its 2 large fixation bolts and damaged bumper have been left in the cargo bay to eventually attach a replacement one. It is a year 2000 van and there is rust present (please examine photos). The van was towed back on a flat bed to our parking lot after the crash (to unload and take inventory of the damaged merchandise aboard) and after arriving many hours later, the engine still started up normally and the vehicle was actually driven under its own power off the flatbed tow truck and into it’s parking space. On a positive side, all glass is intact, mirrors are fine, all doors function and latch properly, all lights inside and outside work (even the front headlights and flashers – they are hanging in the photos as they are usually attached directly to the grill which has been damaged in the accident). The vehicle still has its original onboard jack kit secured in the rear passenger side cargo bay.So, this is your chance to get your hands on a really inexpensive commercial grade van to repair/rebuild/tinker around with and/or for salvaging its good parts to repair another one.Note that this cargo van was originally imported from the United States in its early years and the speedometer and odometer readings are thus displayed in miles (not kilometres). All photos in this listing are those of the van you are bidding for so please examine them carefully before bidding.Again, this auction is launched WITHOUT ANY RESERVE so bid with confidence as it is guaranteed to sell on any bid. This vehicle is sold as-is with absolutely no warranty what-so-ever. The sale is final. Auction winner takes sole responsibility that there could be more issues than that we might not be aware of aside from those specified above. The winning bidder must have the van towed away or arrange to have it towed away within 7 days of auction end.If you have any questions, please ask before bidding and I will be more than happy to answer them for you to the best of my knowledge. Happy bidding and I do hope you win! ;)
