1991 Miata Convertible MX-5 (I was just given word from the owner that he is donating this car to a charity organization for the tax benefit if it does not sell at the end of this listing!) These cars are becoming collectors cars now being they are over 25 years of age and still have a classic sports car look. First of all I want everyone to know that I am just the middle man and am just storing and listing this car for a elderly friend that has moved to Nevada. This would make a Great Weekend Cruiser or a Killer Drifter Project Car *** Today a mechanic did a inspection and test drive of the car for a potential buyer and found it to be in road worthy condition. The AC works but does need charging, everything else passed inspection but still could use some TLC to make it ready for a cross country trip but said it should drive all day long with no problems he could find. The Tires are in excellent condition and are only maybe 2 years old with almost new tread on them. Currently owned by the same gentleman for the past decade to originally drive for his retirement vehicle while in the Las Vegas Nevada area. He has since moved there permanently but due to the high temperatures and his age the doctors have suggested a convertible is not a good idea anymore so he has purchased a truck with air conditioning. This car has only had minimal miles put on it over the past 10 years and has been stored most of that time. It does drive well with no major issues noted. It does need some TLC from being stored but can be driven home. In Ohio you can now register this car as a 25+ year old classic/historical/vintage car which entitles you to special plates and no annual registration fees once you pay the sales tax and have the title changed over to you. Weather you are a car enthusiast or just looking for a simple good small car to drive with a little bit of that classic sports car flavor without spending a fortune on a Sunbeam, MG, Fiat or Triumph then this is your car. It still has its original paint in very good overall condition and has not been wrecked. The body is extremely solid for a car 25 years of age from this part of the country. The top was replaced a few years back and is in excellent shape. The windshield does have a crack but can be replaced, I priced one installed at the local Belle Tires for about $200 maybe less from others. We have reattached the missing drivers side mirror that is missing in some of the pictures. Tires are good with after market wheels and CD/Radio, otherwise the car appears to be pretty much original and unmolested. The only notable rust is a small very fixable spot on both sides lower edge in front of the rear wheels, can be seen in the side pictures posted, body man from the local Ford dealer said it was a standard rust problem with these and is easy to fix since it is not bad at this time. Pick up or Shipping is 100% the buyers responsibility. Delivery maybe arranged for additional cost by a independent individual that has delivered many Classic Cars for me over the past 20 years He has both a flat and a nice 26' enclosed trailer, but please make arrangements before auctions end to make sure this is possible with him to your location and at a price that is acceptable to you from just outside the Toledo Ohio area. **This Vehicle is being Sold As Is With No Returns, No Warranty Implied or Otherwise since it is a 25 year old used car. ** Remember I have only driven this car a few miles myself to see how it ran.
