2000 Volkwagen Jetta TDI with manual transmission for sale. Car runs and drives well. I installed an Elsbett single-tank SVO / WVO system in 2009 and ran on vegetable oil for about 4 years, but the system is currently disconnected as I no longer have a reliable source of vegetable oil. The car does show the normal signs of wear and tear, but nothing that can't be fixed. The car was fitted with a new timing belt and new fuel pump at 210K miles so the most expensive maintenance item on this car won't have to be addressed for quite some time. Since installing the new fuel pump, I have run the car on nothing but petro-diesel. The Good: New 105K mile timing beltNew 11mm fuel pump (upgrade from standard 10mm fuel pump)Panzer plate with full metal jacket (aluminum plate underside engine protection from Dieselgeek)A/C blows coldCar has Elsbett Single Tank SVO / WVO System installed but is currently disconnectedInterior is in reasonable shape for its age with no permanent staining or tears.Car has factory radio/cassette unit with 6-CD changer mounted in the trunkInstalled K&N air filter and cabin filter (filters can be cleaned instead of thrown away)New glow plug wire harness recently installedCloth seats have no rips but could use a good cleaning The Bad: Check Engine Light is on because a heater plug is broken and will likely need to be drilled out to be replaced.Driver's door sticks occasionally (it is out of adjustment)Car suffers from occasional Slow-Down-Stutter (Fuel pump needs adjustment, probably over-fueling)Driver's side rear window doesn't operate (makes clicking sound indicating possible bad window motor) The Ugly: Clear coat on car has begun peeling off of bumpers, mirrors and hood.
