FULLY RESTORED 1970 HONDA CT 70 Vin# CT70-129633 Engine # CT70-129388 Up for auction is a fully restored 1970 Honda CT 70. No expense was spared, no stone left undone. A thorough, complete, and professional restoration. Let me start by saying this is exactly how I got it and exactly how the person I purchased it from got it. The man who restored it passed away and it was sold by his son. The reciepts and title have been lost, so it comes with a bill of sale. Titles can be had in any state for varying degrees of ease and fees if you really want to tag it and ride it on the road. I will tell you everything I was told about the bike as well as my obvious observations ( I have restored and sold dozens of vintage bikes). I am an honest E-bayer and my rating shows it. I am told the engine was completely gone over by a Honda mechanic. I can verify all gaskets, including top end are new. Plug, points, cap, wire, and condenser are new. Carberator and air filter is new. Engine starts in one kick, runs and idles perfectly, and there is no smoke, I believe the motor was done. It rides and shifts like new. Battery is 1 year old and is holding a charge. Mileage is 4K. As far as I can tell this is a matching #'s bike. It has many new parts, on observation I see these: New seat pan, foam, and cover. New handlebars, grips,(not original, but period correct so I left them), new levers, all new cables. New tires, tubes, bulbs (All lights work), horn(works) new light switch and horn button, new headlight, ring and bulb, new tail light lens. As far as I can see all new wiring. New grab handle, new chain and sprockets, I did not check the brakes, but am told they are new as well. I have no reason to doubt that. Stops as it should. Many of the bolts were replaced, others were cleaned. Paint and decals are new. The paint is not 100% show quality, but it's still really nice and well above average. A little buffing would probably get it there. There is a couple extremely small dents an the exhaust shield, and a small dent on the left side of the rear fender. The chrome on the top of the tail light is not perfect, but again, still really nice. I changed the oil, so that's fresh as well. I have described this as honestly as possible. Please look at the pics and ask any questions, if you are local, please stop by to see in person before bidding. I you have been looking for one of these highly collectible Honda CT 70's to relive your childhood, add to your collection, or display in a museum, here it is. It is by far the nicest one I have personally seen in years. The person who restored it has put a lot of time and money into this little gem. I need the room and already have one I have owned for years (a 72, with 56 miles, same color) so I am sadly going to part with this one. Please do not bid if you are unable or unwilling to complete the transaction! I will report you, and you will be banned. A $500.00 non-refundable deposit by PayPal is due within 24 hours of Auction's end. Payment in full is required within 5 days, either by PayPal, or cash in person. I can store indoors for up to 30 days as long as it is paid in full. I will not ship but will make every reasonable effort to assist the shipper of your choice. Good luck, Happy Bidding! Someone will soon own a pristine piece of motorcycle history.
